Bennett, Champ and Palmer all headed to Detroit this week. Time is running out on earning points for the season, as all three are outside the 125. Bennett probably needs 200 or so points to secure his card for next season. I believe this week will be his 4th sponsor exemption (of 7).

I assume Bronson has had some physical problems again. I have been really pulling for him to have success on the PGAT. But evidently that is not in the cards for him.

Checked out the fields for Scottish, Barbasol, and KFT Event next week and I'm surprised Sam isn't in any of em? Maybe he needs a longer break but it's a little weird.

He posted on his Instagram story last week that he was taking the next two weeks off (this week and next)

Gotcha, didn't see that. I guess the assumption is he will play in the Barracuda or KFT event the week after!

Sam gets unlimited sponsor exemptions, and they run through the end of the year because of the new calendar I believe.

So if he continues to receive exemptions in the fall event, he should still have a pathway to PGA Tour membership via the special temporary membership, and then earning as many points as 125 did last year.

I could have bad info, that being said.

An interesting note is the Barracuda is the only tour event with Stableford scoring. Sam is actually top 10 in odds to win the thing.

I know Sam likely needed the break/rest, but I feel like he missed a big opportunity to rack up some money/points by skipping the Barbasol last week - anyone look at the field - VERY WEAK.

Sam doesn't need the money and he would have needed to finish top 7 to earn a significant amount of points.

He also could have had something life related already on his schedule.

Sure.

I'm just suggesting that against that field, playing the way he's been playing, he could have really helped his cause.

This week's field is slightly stronger, but he can still put up a good showing.

Nacho had a good finish this weekend. Tied 3rd at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters winning $212,938.97 US dollars (ish).

He's now sitting in 46th for the race to Dubai.

Any reason why Cam isn't in the field in Bermuda? Doesn't he need to get more FedEx fall cup to ensure he keeps his tour card for 2024?
