Well I do see the Mizuno recommends the handicap range of 8-18 so I guess it's more an intermediate club.

I just bought the Caddytek rangefinder for $160 on Amazon. It has a plate on it that switches on/off the Slope Compensation feature.

One round in and I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't lock onto flags better, especially flags with the reflectors. It likes to shoot past them and several times took 10 seconds to get the flag.

But the slope worked well and the price was right.

If you have chrome on your desktop browser, download the "honey" extension. It takes most global golf purchases down a TON

What is the mark up on golf clubs? 50%, 75%. My son and I got fit for irons and he was fit for a driver and our country club paid for the fitting and sold me the clubs for about 60% of what they are listed at retail.

Having worked in the industry I'm curious as to what brand y'all got. Because they're aren't supposed to sell the clubs below market value or they could get their rights pulled from the manufacturer . Perhaps you got the employee discount? I know we had a PING consultant come in one time "undercover" and asked for a price break, luckily we didn't give him one.

It's a branding and seal issue. One sellers become competition for each other and the prices are lowered for the consumer and the resale or start pinching the wholesalers for lower prices

Exactly. The manufacturers want a level playing field and they want to dictate when the price should be lowered.

This was not a public offering nor through the golf shop at a public course so I don't get it. The club provided a perk to its memyers by providing a fitting and not marking up the merchandise. The manufacturer is not harmed in any way, they sold the clubs at their price.

I looked on line first as well. No deals at GG or DIX online and in store only.

Stores seem to be moving clearance stuff (like shoes) ahead of thanksgiving.

I did the same. Got my clubs for manufacturer price I guess. They were very cheap and fitted and customized for free. Perk of being a former superintendent.
