Big deal. We finished with a better record and a bowl victory over a top 5 team. Sure, you beat us, but it was a very good game that went to overtime. Had we been at home, we probably win that game.

I don't think that either team was better than the other. IMO, we were pretty even.

hmmmm, I'm spinning? That's funny coming from the guy saying that the only reason I wanted to throw out the bowl games was because we lost ours, considering I also threw out the non-conf schedule as a result of throwing out everything but the conf schedule.

I find it interesting that you KNOW that New Mexico is better than Baylor...based on what, the fact that New Mexico had a better record against their week ass competition? I didn't make a call either way, just said we tripped against one crappy team and you tripped against one crappy team.

I find it interesting that you know you would not lose to Colorado or Clemson. I think it is likely that you would have lost to one of them, although I'm definitely not calling it a sure thing (If you really think tech was that much better than either of those teams I feel sorry for you). Regardless, those would have both been way tougher games than any of your non-conference or big 12 north opponents you played last year. Not only is beefing up a schedule with teams like Utah, Clemson and Colorado (over a schedule with SMU, TCU and Nebraska) more dangerous because those teams are at least better than average and at risk for losses, the chance of losing to any one of them (or others on the schedule)is compounded by the fact your players would be getting beat up on a little more than they would against a team like Kansas

I find it interesting that you don't think it can be argued that a 15th ranked SEC team, playing in a strong SEC conference is better than a 9th ranked PAC 10 team playing in a weak ass conference with 1 good team.

The point is A&M played a tougher non-conf schedule, a tougher north div schedule, yet still ended up with the same record and head-to-head win.

Yes, we played different teams in the bowl, and tech can argue that Cal was better than Tennessee (which I don't agree with since Cal played 1 good team and 1 OK team all year...and lost to both...but it is still tough to prove unless you are in Shiner land I guess).....of course, I could point to the final BCS standings, but evidently you have a different definition of "arguably"
