Turned out much better than I thought. Had a great group of guys (total of 10 counting me and Mrs Skihorn)! I'm not going to post many details here other than to say Patch is for real; pretty darn good skier and heck of a basketball player (considering the number of beers and the fatigue from the skiing he still came pretty close to dunking); Dub is down to earth and just what you'd expect, and FXST has one NICE Harley.

Will definitely be an annual event. Hopefully, some Ags will show up next time.

Yeah, but did Patch bring his cats for show and tell? That's the real story here.

Even Mrs Skihorn had a good time! She said you were a great bunch of guys (and one gal). Did your cell phone dry out okay? (I may not be matching the right user name with actual name.)

We will definitely do it again!

did you guys call each other by your real name or was it like, Hey Prodigy, get highwayman and myself a beer."

After the original intros it was pretty much by real name.

BTW, I owe Mike073 a big apology. I forgot to pass out your door prizes. (I did use some of them on the brisket and chicken). I definitely recommend Fiesta brand spices.

I've still got them and if anyone is interested I'll give them to you. I'll award as follows:

First prize: FXST - came the farthest to get here. Next time you are riding your Harley through this area stop on by.

Second prize: Dub - he was the one of the first to RSVP, never waivered, and was the first to arrive.

Third prize: (Name withheld, but you know who you are) for her "wardrobe malfunction" on the tube. Unfortunately I missed it. I haven't had a chance to speak yet with the gawking neighbors. Next time you won't forget your bikini. Seriously, thanks for coming. It was nice to have another female besides Mrs Skihorn

Well you know, Dub is in that "early bird" mode so arriving early is second nature to him.....

This DEFINETALY needs to be an (at least) annual gig, Skihorn. I had a great time. The hospitality was second to none, though its Monday and I still can't lift my arms above my shoulders...

Which one of you hung Patch from Ski's ceiling fan and made him cluck like a chicken with a beer bottle hanging out of his arse?

Beer stats:

Corona - 24 consumed; ran out

Bud Lite - 22 consumed

Miller Lite - 8 consumed

Sam Adams - 3 consumed

That is 57 beers consumed by 10 people. Total numbers are what I expected. Ratio surprised me.

Many thanks to SkiHorn and Mrs. Ski for a great get-together. Since his post was mostly fiction, I will now give you the facts:

The life of the party was definitely Zorro (name used by permission), a 12 month-old black flat coat retriever. A marvelous athlete and brilliant conversationalist, Zorro worked the crowd like a seasoned pol, supplementing our deodorant with frequent showers following his dips in the lake.

The pictures didn't turn out since the camera went in the lake with Top Gun 22-20's cell phone, but I can give you adequate descriptions of the attendees.

Top Gun himself is an underdeveloped swabbie who hopes to be admitted to the SEALS. His best chance is that Hillary will be elected and the qualifications changed.

Ski is a pleasant, unsuccessful ambulance chaser with a 14' Lone Star boat and a 25 horse motor. You can ski behind it if you weigh less than 100 lbs and like to fall a lot.
His leprosy is responding to treatment. He's lucky that he's married to a doctor.

Mrs. Ski is an attractive quack who practices herbal medicine and Santeria. She can cook, which is a plus.

FXST rode in on his Vespa. It did have a sticker on it that said, "My other bike is a Harley". I estimate he could bench press about 32 lbs. He mentioned that he had met Welker, who was smaller than him. FXST is a shy, withdrawn type with a justifiable inferiority complex.

There was another local attorney there who, I believe, is a lurker. Or maybe a stalker. I'm not sure. We enjoyed discussing the Houston golf scene and the physical attributes of the young lady that came with the Village People, er, Patch and his friends.

Patch was the leader of a crew of about 5, probably because at 5' 2", he was the tallest. Humpbacked, hair-lipped, and bowlegged, he was also the best looking. I doubt that he's really gay, but I didn't get too close to him either.

Their young lady companion showed great athletic ability, especially when buzzed by a dirt dobber near the lake, which turned out to be a toxic waste disposal tank converted from a quarry.

Ski's home was an attractive, innovative three-story, created by stacking packing crates on top of each other and attaching ladders. The Ski's were very hospitable.

A great time was had by all and I certainly plan to attend next year.

LonghornDub was an embittered old coot whos callous dispostion was overshadowed only by his surprising distastefulness for beer and BBQ, though we marveled at his youth...

Great - Ten sips come to Texags to organize their weekend around an event which no Ags attended. Patch brings his whole social club with him and whines about his arms while overdoing the sports in an attempt to impress the others. Dub spends as much time away from the Mrs. as he can by arriving early and would rather talk to a dog than some good looking attendee. He is too lazy to even ride a golf cart around in leiu of fishing with a string on his toe.

The Lakers are still not in the Playoffs and did not win the lottery.

I did not see Shiner Bock on the list of beverages - perhaps that was what kept some away.

btw - With all you sips in one place, did you figure out how to beat OU this year?

Patch must have noticed that I hate all young people. Youth is definitely wasted on the young.

If I can remember, I'll probably have to invite the hosts and the attendees to our Christmas party this year so they can meet my older friends and see what they will turn out to be when they get old. That ought to get their attention.

The Ski's are definitely favorites for Horn Posters of the Year. I favor people who buy me food.

Mike: Aren't you supposed to be on some Anniversary vacation. Don't let her see you on Texags.

What kept the other Ags away? Was it the free beer, the free BBQ, or the attractive young lady tubing in a white t-shirt and mini skirt that offended you guys.
LonghornDub

Mikey has a pretty good idea of the party, but he missed one part. I was also too lazy to fish. I did bring four rods, two tackle boxes, and two dozen minnows, but I got engrossed in drinking beer, participating in a non-stop BS session with FXST and the lurking lawyer and forgot why I came. Half the minnows became food for Zorro or toys for Ski, Jr., and the other half were used by the Village People who did use the fishing gear. Miss Goodbody hooked one but it got away. Foolish fish.

To the other four posters whom I have met, WinaGs, CentexHornFan, ce1994, and Mike073, I would like to say that you should have come. You would have fit right in.

Mikey - The current plan to beat OU is dependent on the successful training of members of the Norman chapter of the BOC in the mountains of Afganistan. I'll let you know how it goes.

Ski - I was out since last Wednesday. Got back yesterday. You should have rounded up all their account names and passwords while you had the chance. Now they are all back.
