Basically, since DKR retired, they've gotten two hires right. Fred Akers and Mack Brown. And both of those guys eventually got run out of town because A&M was either beating them on the field or beating them badly in on-field results.

Im not convinced. Tu's problem are systemic and i not convinced that urban would come in and immediately turn the thing around.
And they need 30 million to fire herman and staff.
And probably at least 20 million more tonhire urban and his staff.
Should be interesting watching them explain those expenditures during this covid time.

I thought if PJ Fleck pulled some magic and won the Big 10 this year, making the playoffs, that he would be a strong contender. I don't think the texas brass would go for celebrating his Row the Boat brand, though. I just don't see it happening. He seems to be a good fit at UofM for now.

They should go after that 2nd year HC @ UNC. He seems to be getting that program together and is recruiting lights out at a program that usually is a bottom to mid-tier ACC program.

They could do a lot worse than Gus Malzahn. His scheme would be a perfect fit for the Big 12-2.
Malzahn would be owed ~$20 mil if Auburn terminated him. Malzahn does not walk away from that for less than a Brinks truck.
The sips would need a Brinks truck for Malzahn and half of another to pay Herman to leave.

Who would take it with the social injustice issues, the eyes of texas issues, the booster issues over the eyes issues, etc. If Abbott wasn't there, you could add the defund police issues as well. How does anyone recruit to this as well? What athlete in their right mind would want to attend there? Right now, boosters are pulling money out of there left and right. Good luck
