Clemson went up 24 to 3 and coasted. A&M was very good against the run vs Clemson. I was surprised to see them be so bad vs Auburn.

We gave up 1 long td that accounted for 1/3 of their total yards. We are good against the run. Auburn's scheme is based on deception and misdirection. That's hard on teams with so much youth on D. We're the youngest team in the league.

You haven't played LSU yet so it's impossible to compare that. However, the aggies throw the ball more times per game than Texas so your whole tard, sip T-shirt rant seems pointless. You don't appear to have watched an A&M game this year, maybe you are a sip or a tard.
Wanna wager that we throw it more than 48 times against LSU? We threw 42 times vs Clemson and 49 times vs Auburn. That 49 will be an anomaly for the year. Counting total season average is stupid for us because half our games are against puds. I don't count puds when really doing any analysis, because in the SEC we have so few of them, that's why at this point, the average per game is skewed.

I can understand some dumbass Big 12 fan confusing puds with conference games because for you, they are the same.

The sec has more "puds" than the Big 12
Big 12 is a conference of puds.
Baylor, Kansas and tard are given bottom dwellers. However, even the teams that were supposed to be good totally suck.
TCU lost to SMU (LMAO)
WVA got the everlivin' **** kicked out of them by Missouri
Iowa State damn near lost to Northern Iowa
Kansas State, which may actually be your second best team had to have a miracle to beat Mississippi State, which probably won't have a winning conference record this year (congrats on that conference defining win)
Hell, your team had to cheat to squeak by Oklahoma State.

And when I said "your" team, I meant the team you root for.

The key point in this slam dunk was naming three teams without reference to any of their results this season. Following that up with two losses and a near loss by other BIg 12 teams was just icing on the cake.

It's going to take the better part of the night, but I will research to see if there is even a loss out there by an SEC cellar dweller that may bear mentioning. This is just doing due diligence, as it's hard to see how anything could be worse than what Jb posted. There might not be any losses at all, much less hilariously historic gaffes.
As it turns out there were some losses in the SEC cellar that were worse than TCU losing to SMU, WVA getting beat by Mizzou, and Iowa St. almost losing to Northern Iowa.

Tennessee (1-3) lost to Georgia St. by a score of 38-30. The Panthers were a 26 point underdog, and went on to later lose to Texas St. and Western Michigan after the Volunteer throttling.

Quote:

Calling it an "upset" doesn't do it justice. This was the worst loss in the modern era of Tennessee football.

https://www.espn.com/college-football/game/_/gameId/401119264

Arkansas (2-2) lost to San Jose State by a score of 31-24. The Spartans (1-11 last year) were a 20.5 point underdog, and were spanked at home by Tulsa before getting down to the business of Hog hunting.

Quote:

The past few years have been full of low points for the Arkansas program, but Saturday night may end up being the lowest of the low.
. . .
That means Arkansas has now lost to Colorado State, North Texas and San Jose State during Chad Morris's two years at the helm of the program.

https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/arkansas-football/arkansas-sets-embarrassing-2019-record-for-biggest-payout-to-a-school-just-to-lose/

Ole Miss (2-2) lost to Memphis.

Vandy (0-3) lost to the same Purdue team that TCU beat this year.

The SEC is almost as bottom heavy as it is top heavy this year. The SEC may actually have the best of the Big 12 this year when it comes to the battle of the puds. Obviously the SEC's top-half is better than the Big 12's, but it's nice to see the SEC going both ways.

In the Big 12, Texas and OU are more talented teams than A&M. In the SEC west, only Bama and LSU are perennially more talented than a&m. And Georgia is the only east team more talented, who A&M plays once every 6 years. So that part isn't much different.

There's a reason A&M's winning percentage hasn't really changed.

First of all, your entire premise is incorrect and completely flawed to begin with. Second, in the middle of your incorrect premise, your standards change.

Please...tell us the reason that our "winning percentage hasn't changed." Is it your contention that there's some magical, institutional prohibition from winning more? Because that's the dumbest ****ing argument I've ever seen anyone make, defied completely by facts and reality, but not surprising that it's coming from you.

We're third in our division since we joined this league. Tell us where Texas would be if they'd joined instead.

There are 7 teams that are on our schedule EVERY YEAR that have Top 25 talent (according to the standard you're clearly using). Compare that to Texas. There's ONE. ONE. The next one is 30th. The average "talent" of the teams we play EVERY year is 16th. Texas' is 46th. If paper talent were the only factor in winning, Texas would lose 0 or 1 game every year in their league.

Texas final ranking in 2018 would be a&m's second best season in the last 25 years.

And we won a conference title in the last decade. Something A&M hasn't done in over 20 years now. And appeared in conference title game last year. Something A&M hasn't done in over 20 years now. And appeared in a national championship game in the last decade. Something A&M hasn't done since 1939. These are facts that aren't disputable.

Texas was better than A&M last year. Is better this year. And Herman is kicking the **** out of your 5'7" coach who isn't even trying to win games against good teams this year. Just running clock when down big and trying to score late to make it look better than it was.

You're almost quite literally correct. Great job!

Yes, A&M plays tougher competition regularly. I'll grant you that A&M's time in the Big 12 was not nearly as successful as t.u.'s, but t.u.'s success wasn't even as good as Oklahoma.

Since A&M joined the SEC, the level of competition is not even close. In fact the Big 12's level of competition is closer to Conference USA than it is to the Western division of the SEC alone.

Since 2012....

Teams (and # of games) that t.u. has played against that played in or won the Championship Game at any point during that same timeframe:

Notre Dame = 2 games vs t.u. (1 runner up appearance)
Georgia = 1 game vs t.u. (1 runner up appearance)
*0 games played against a National Championship winner

Teams (and # of games) that A&M has played against that played in or won the Championship Game at any point during that same timeframe:

Alabama = 7 games vs A&M (3 NC wins, 2 runner up appearances)
Auburn = 7 games vs A&M (1 NC runner up appearance)
Clemson = 2 games vs A&M (2 NC wins, 1 runner up appearances)
*16 games played against a National Championship finalist or winner, 9 games against a National Championship Winner, and 14 games against teams in our own division

Through the first half of this season, A&M will have played three teams that have accounted for 9 appearances in the National Championship game since 2012. t.u. will have played NONE.

So when Texas doesn't win the conference this year...they won't have a conference title in the last decade. Yes, they "played for" one last year...because they play in the only league where the decided 2nd place team gets ANOTHER shot to win the title. No other league does that. By that standard, we'd have played Alabama last year for the SEC West title, a division that has more NFL talent than your entire conference by A LOT.

Texas wasn't better than A&M last year, nor are they this year. Look at the metrics, Sagarin, etc. They believed A&M was better last year AND this year. You play in least talented league in the sport. Your defense, and every defense you play, sucks.

The Big 12 is ranked the second best conference by all the metrics. And we aren't wimps who choose to play 8 conference games instead of 9 in favor of a FCS bye week patsy in November to save the conference 7 losses to manipulate the polls.

So you were huge ******* in 2005 when you last won an NC? Is that why you even got there? By playing only 8 conference games?

Your "9 games" include teams that routinely get their ass kicked BY FCS teams. And remember that "talent" argument you used earlier? Why didn't you address my point about the MASSIVE difference in talent in the two leagues? Don't want it used when it destroys your ridiculous, nonsensical arguments?

It's absolutely hilarious you actually believe that, because nobody else does, including the metrics you just cited.

By one spot? How about ESPN' FPI?

So Texas is ahead of A&M now in Sagarin (first time all year) by one spot. How does that mesh with your argument that Texas would curb stomp A&M? It doesn't. Are these metrics magically "wrong" on this issue, but "right" when evaluating the stature of the leagues? Uh huh. Such a dip*****

Texas offense didn't blink vs LSU or Georgia. I know you have the Georgia didn't want to be there nonsense, but agai st two stout SECSEC defenses Texas did what they do.
Why do you call it nonsense when there are countless examples of the teams that get left out of the title games losing their bowls to inferior opponents? It happens WAY more often than not. The announcers talked about Kirby Smart struggling to get his team motivated for the game before the game even started. They sat multiple players. Does that sound like a game a team is jacked to be in?

Yes, let's dismiss a completely logical and supportable basis for a counterargument because it hurts our argument.

You don't get to pick and choose that way, if so you will always have an argument. You are what the numbers say you are two teams lined up and played, it's all we have to go on.
I would never say Texas would curb stomp A&M it's a silly argument. I will take the stats from two teams who played for quarters and take them at face value.

Are we judging QBs on their worst games?
no we're judging them on their performance so far this season. sam has been great. kellen not so much.
Sam plays against air. Kellen has played better defenses than Sam will see all season long.

Is that why A&M has one season of double digit wins in the last 20 seasons? All that great competition?

Texan - why do you continue to gloss over this post without a response? What does a conference title in a meaningless conference amount to now? Since the playoff format started OU has gotten donkey stomped in all but 1 playoff game they've played in and has never advanced past the semis. Why the hell do you keep trying to bring up conference titles? OU has essentially owned the Big 12 conference & conference championships since that pile of sh-t conference was formed. Congrats, while we were in the B12, your t-shirt team was more successful than ours. Nobody is debating that, dildo. Jump out of your Delorean for a minute and join the rest of us here.
