how'd he do two weeks ago?
Are we judging QBs on their worst games?
no we're judging them on their performance so far this season. sam has been great. kellen not so much.
Sam plays against air. Kellen has played better defenses than Sam will see all season long.
Is that why A&M has one season of double digit wins in the last 20 seasons? All that great competition?
You're almost quite literally correct. Great job!
Yes, A&M plays tougher competition regularly. I'll grant you that A&M's time in the Big 12 was not nearly as successful as t.u.'s, but t.u.'s success wasn't even as good as Oklahoma.
Since A&M joined the SEC, the level of competition is not even close. In fact the Big 12's level of competition is closer to Conference USA than it is to the Western division of the SEC alone.
Since 2012....
Teams (and # of games) that t.u. has played against that played in or won the Championship Game at any point during that same timeframe:
Notre Dame = 2 games vs t.u. (1 runner up appearance)
Georgia = 1 game vs t.u. (1 runner up appearance)
*0 games played against a National Championship winner
Teams (and # of games) that A&M has played against that played in or won the Championship Game at any point during that same timeframe:
Alabama = 7 games vs A&M (3 NC wins, 2 runner up appearances)
Auburn = 7 games vs A&M (1 NC runner up appearance)
Clemson = 2 games vs A&M (2 NC wins, 1 runner up appearances)
*16 games played against a National Championship finalist or winner, 9 games against a National Championship Winner, and 14 games against teams in our own division
Through the first half of this season, A&M will have played three teams that have accounted for 9 appearances in the National Championship game since 2012. t.u. will have played NONE.
