There's so much about this picture that needs explanation. How the hell the ceiling got stained like that and how much liquor it took to make building the lower cabinets out of cinderblock sound like a good idea to start. Also WTF is with that ductwork to nowhere coming out of the foundation?

Admittedly, these don't have quite the square footage. So for folks wanting the extra space, the 27th street house should be considered.

Those houses are nice, but don't have near the character and charm of the 27th street house.

None of those comps have a pool or stained concrete. That's where the value is.

I pass by this house every once in a while and I've always felt that it's just got that stale, boxy 80s feeling (the picture of the "front" of the house is misleading). When I saw it was for sale, I checked it out hoping that the inside was a totally different story. Nope. What a weird-ass mixture of...features. And the pics do it no favors.

I know it isn't as a terrible as many of the listings above, but I just had to share my little disappointment.

And word decor is TERRIBLE. It's like the owner went and cleaned out a Hobby Lobby.

Price is comparable for houses in the area that don't need work so it's gonna be on the market a while. There are some areas missing flooring, lots of casing and trim missing, and no appliances or countertops in the kitchen. Doesn't that keep the place from being eligible for conventional financing?

HDR can only do so much. Everything about the place says 'wash your hands after touching!'

Welcome, try not to look up when you come in the door!

Lenders don't care about things like complete kitchens or holes in the ceiling, and buyers don't care about having a place to put a dishwasher.


Sad to say that this one is just over a block from home.
