I have to believe that house was originally a school or gym. I can see no other reason to have cinder block walls. Though I will say that I have seen an old school turned into a house, and they can be pretty awesome.

Nah. Built in 2005. Property was purchased in 2004 (apparently a vacant lot)
I imagine it's some live/work situation which translates poorly to a resale market.

That makes it sad. Those bedrooms halfway remind me of living in FHK with the cinder block walls.

Yep that's definitely some old folks going out to pasture.

Also I <3 sites that make you register with some email address and phone number to look at pictures. So many bogus leads have been given that way.

Someone PLEASE send this one to McMansion Hell, I'd love to get their take on it.

I'd take the house off their hands for $500K. That would just about cover the hauling and dump fees, and overall hassle of dealing with all the crap.

I'm trying to find comps for a a very nice and very large estate in Beacon Hill and all I can find is this cheap fly by night gutted garbage.

Interesting note, this home I'm doing is stated to have the first home AC system installed in the city ( ammonia as refrigerant) and it's still down in the basement.

Someone pointed out the guy in boxers underneath the coffee table in this one -- somehow I completely missed that the first time.

I used to drive past that place quite a bit. It out just past The Geneva School. I think the rumor was the the dude just built him a man cave. Not sure if anyone lived there full time.
