Yeah, that's a lot of people I know, who ignore things I (and probably their inspector) point out and then have a ton of questions about in two years when things start to crap out.
I really didn't care about the end result of the appraisal for the house we live in since our down payment was large, but it sort of amused me because watching her run in and out because we're talking 15 minutes max for a 3,300 sq ft house. I don't think she even walked the entire place or looked out back. We bought it knowing full well that it was a total redo anyway. I knew this was just another step in the process because there was a mortgage on the place.
The insurance appraiser took a whole lot longer but we have a replacement value policy.
