Maybe temporarily with this pump and dump scheme. Long term, no. Too many things working against theaters these days. Covid fears, and co-releaeses of movies on streaming services are changing that market.

Not really. Disney may be the only studio that is doing that anymore on certain releases. People will continue to go to movies.

Other studios have already opted back into theatrical exclusive releases after experimenting during the pandemic.

There are negotiations that will allow movies to hit streaming earlier than previously allowed, but movie theaters will be around for a long time.
