If anything more shares just means holding longer. I'm all for AMC pulling themselves out of money trouble and staying around for years to come. And even with the 'dilution' the price is currently back over 60 so we'll see how future sales change the overall share price in the future.

A smart person would realize there is money to be made in the short term but this isn't a stock you want to be accumulating for a long term hold strategy at these levels.

New shares means more buying, and more buying means price goes up, correct?

And yeah, I agree we're sitting at an inflated price. Current price is more or less double the previous high from years ago. I felt the stock was undervalued back in 2017 when it was at $10 so I bought in. Been trying to offload it since. Original thought was $30-40 would be a great exit point. Actually sold some around $20 during the last run up to cover my cost.

I'll likely be out of AMC by the end of the month. Currently sitting on 300 shares. Thinking I'll sell in batches of 50 hopefully at $75, $100, etc. Once it looks like it's really heading down I'll offload whatever's left.

Then watch the price double the next day.

I've already covered my investment so I'm fine with holding to see if anything substantial can be made off this. And I never said I'd be holding for years lol I just want AMC to stick around because it's a fat finger to the people who are trying to short it out of existence.

Nope, does the average person have the power to manipulate the market?
Now shorting = manipulation? That should be least of your concern. Far more sinister actions taken every day that would better define manipulation than shorting.

Agree with all of this but was never holding out hope for anything more than a squeeze to 80-100. I'm completely cashed out but was only playing calls.

The question is, am I confident enough to play puts tomorrow. My head tells me it's stupid but who knows...

I looked into the AMC shares thing and was told that they don't have the shares to keep dumping them on the market. The AMC CEO seems to be the only one able to keep the squeeze from happening and if he can't flood the market with more shares what is his next move? Also, why does he not want the shareholder to make money?

I got pissed and sold most of my shares but some of my relatives have convinced me to buy back in. I sold in the high 50s so if it stays down I might make some money on the trade.

If it falls back into the 30's, I'm definitely buying more. Watching that whole sequence, I think he was sending a message about shorts. Plus with Jeffries and that other house halting AMC shorts, that's pretty strong evidence.
