yeah, CLF has been dog****...one of my worst positions that I've held onto hoping for a LUMN style hail mary...Lourenco sounds like a magician name, and he really needs to pull a rabbit outta his hat...Farmer Jim on CNBC still pumping it...only bigger bull on the street is your boy, Tom Lee

Real quick question to move around my end of year positioning...what are your thoughts on SPY top? Love what you have said about IWM/small caps...but just curious on what your thoughts on SPX's outlook over the next 2-4 months...I have opinions (fundamentally and politically), but love your technical thesis on the broader market

I was a longtime CLF stockholder and have a friend who works there. I wanted it for CLF, if not for the company itself, then for purely national strategic implications. I've heard Nippon will have a purely US member board upon ownership, but I still hate seeing the profits of our steel industry ultimately ending up in another country.

I do think the sale goes through, as of right now. But I honestly haven't done a deep enough dive to say for sure. If the sale fails, I still like the upside in the stock as other bidders come back. Maybe it does ultimately sell to CLF. Who knows.

But the headwinds facing steel are legitimate. From a very high level view, what's happening in China real estate will surpass what happened to Spain. They own 54% of world steel production, over 10x what the US does. And steel prices have collapsed. They are flooding the world market and will continue to. US companies can be healthy and still be in trouble, because supply is expected to be far greater than demand for some time. Couple that with an expected pullback in US construction across all sectors, and steel can be bearish for years.

But X stock is undervalued currently even in that scenario after this week's selloff. The X play is purely from loving the R/R on that one last move up. Defined stop. Defined target.

This coming week is huge, and the following week might be even more important. I'm torn right now between top is in, and blowoff top following the first rate cut. Either way, I fully expect next year to be extremely painful in the stock market unless the selloff happens this year. In that case, next year might be a relief bounce. I've had this election season as a major pivot point on my charts for YEARS. And it's shaping up to be just that. It honestly kind of scares me, as it's always just been something on the horizon. But as we get closer and closer, the implications of what might happen get more and more real. I don't think people have any clue just how bad it could get in our economy. Even if we have a deep selloff and then recover through 2028, the can just can't be kicked much longer.

I feel like MARA is in the buy zone now. Took a beating lately and are due for a bounce. Hoping Bitcoin can get back to the $70's and MARA can climb into the $20's.

I caught one of the network nightly news this evening and they did a story on the marathon datacenter in Granbury impacting people's health.

I live right behind a datacenter in Houston. I won't say the sound makes me physically sick but it's damn annoying. If I had a datacenter out in the country by my place I'd probably lose my mind.

The one behind us is really bad when they kick on the generators. There's a couple dozen large diesel gens - and the fumes are pretty intense as well as the noise. It was not fun during any of the power outages we've had.
The normal day to day is pretty noisy from all the AC units but we've gotten used to that over the years. It was a pretty nice area before they built it.

In terms of the devaluation of the USD, can someone explain the benefits or cite an article comparing investing in metals and bitcoin versus just US equities?

I understand benefits to holding metals/bitcoin over cash. Does a high fed funds rate change this at all? If you want to invest and not just hold cash/metals/bitcoin, shouldn't equities just track higher and match inflation since they are US equities denominated in USD? Or will the devaluation of the dollar have a greater negative effect on equity pricing due to more expensive imports US businesses need and potential of foreign investors turning to other markets?

If the SLV Sep 20 $25.5's I bought Friday can get to $1.00 today I will sell 75% of them. My plan in buying them was to take profits on the next upward move to offset potential losses from the other September 20 calls I have that might or might not pan out.

I cant open this but I saw that news last week and surprisingly the stock didn't react. I was a little shocked it didn't move and that it wasn't posted on here so figured everyone was out of WWR at this point. I am not.
