Oops, you're right.
I need to go back and look at that.
Well if it sounds wrong or sounds unbelievable, it probably is. I'm sure some junior analyst/journalist made the same exact error some others here have or messed up some decimal points.SW AG80 said:
CNBC said Tesla was up over 12,000% since 2018. That is where I got my numbers. They were not talking stock prices.

$2 Leaps not bad.
Shares risk off is $1.49.
Will the gap fill?

$2,036.76 invested in May of 2019 (low within the last five years) would have purchased you 11 shares. A 5:1 then a 3:1 would mean you have 165 shares today, valued at $45,549.90 assuming $276.06 a share I saw today. That's 2,136.39% total return.
That's an amazing return, but $2,000 into $2.5M (124,900%) should have thrown up huge warning flags for you.
Additionally, your common sense approach lends itself to fundamentals and identifying future growth, which is not what is driving Tesla's price. The retail explosion of Tesla stock when stimulus checks went out was insane... Don't beat yourself up too bad missing the Tesla boat.

covered. I don't recommend naked, ever, especially if the stock in question has gap risk. I would only do naked if you can afford to buy shares to cover the amount you sold.FTAG 2000 said:This a covered or naked entry?$30,000 Millionaire said:

Yeah, the comments I've seen are about the small sample size. But this study isn't the larger phase 3 study.confucius_ag said:Still trying to make sense of it myself.Philip J Fry said:

Feel like every time they put out some positive news they get shorted.docaggie said:Yeah, the comments I've seen are about the small sample size. But this study isn't the larger phase 3 study.confucius_ag said:Still trying to make sense of it myself.Philip J Fry said:

These patients - in both arms - were given the medication for 12 months, then randomized to either continue the drug or receive the placebo.
The resulting cognitive scores showed a clear benefit to those in the treatment arm.
Now, is it large and powerful enough of a study to be statistically significant? No. But it wasn't designed that way, either.
I'm beginning to think there are a lot of people who are polarized - both for and against - this medication.
Is this some sort of short attack? Or are people really looking at this data and selling?
