QQQ: Up 31.7% YTD.

Well beyond MT now and just 50 cents from .618 today. Filled a gap (yellow lines) today at 348.50 but there's still one more up above at 359.93.

Well beyond +3 ATR on the daily.

I'm potentially way off base on this one - they don't mine graphite or anything - but to me the risk/reward is there for a small position

That's cold, mister!

Wwr don't mine graphite either. Lol

Question:

Does anyone in here buy gold/silver? The physical kind, not the GLD. Family has treasuries about to mature and we've discussed parking some in gold and looking for the right firm/place that you've bought from and trust. I trust you all, even if you only lurk, before I trust any advertisements. TIA for any suggestions.

No gold yet, but I did start buying a little silver from them in the past year.

I stack silver and gold. My favorite is 5oz and 10oz bars, I love the way they feel in my hand. My wife is partial to coins - Silver Eagles, Britannias, and Krugerrands. I see value in each. SD bullion, Monument Metals, APMEX are all good places to shop. I usually wait for a $X.XX over spot sale. Sometimes there will be free shipping deals. The prices fluctuate with spot price of the metal

I have been buying physical gold/silver /platinum over the last year. Started out buying from an online retailer (Texas precious metals), but have switched to buying in person. You can build a relationship with the team and determine what you want to buy/hold. Obviously there are tons of options, and I'm still learning about quality of pieces and values of different coins/bars. I follow Saharascharts on the bird app, and use his charts for my buying points. Right or wrong, I'm in physical gold/silver/platinum with about 15% of savings.

Next planned buy is gold - watching for the drop into $1850-1860 or so, per Sahara's info.

There's a buying physical gold/silver thread here in there TexAgs Business/Investing Forum at https://texags.com/forums/57/topics/3181130/last.

For what it's worth, i've tried a ton of places and keep coming back to SDBullion.com for ease of purchase, borderline best pricing, and consistency of execution.

Come visit the gold/silver thread and ask all your questions too, Ags are very willing to help

Thank you to everyone that have replied and I plan to dig deeper into every recommendation. Like I said, I trust the people in here and have directed me to companies that you've used. I was hoping to see some overlap of companies that different posters use. I have some homework to do tomorrow but I'll start with the recs from those that mentioned the same company. I know stocks, but I'm a novice when it comes to gold/silver. Thanks to everyone that replied.

I've used jm too. Before you buy/commit to buy, make sure you understand the payment terms, i got hosed once by one of the retailers because they charged a premium using one method vs another, and i accidentally used the wrong one. The process seems sketch af, you lock in your price when you "buy" then submit payment (eft or mail a check), then wait, then wait, then you get an email that your payment cleared, then they mail it with signature delivery and you gotta be home to sign for the beat up really heavy box. It's fun to open though!

Have had good experience with Miles Franklin. Good customer service pre and post sale. Wasn't happy w way one shipment looked. Sent it back and they sent better looking ones all at their expense. No fuss. Had no problem with Shiffgold but prefer Miles Franklin

That's what I understand and people are freaking out because instead of paying down their interest free debt the last couple years, people went out and bought houses so now they will have a mortgage and a student loan payment. Apparently a lot of people thought this was going to be permanent. Should make for an interesting housing market if true.

If you want my opinion - agreed 100%.

This entire market lately has very much been Baby Boomers Vs Millennials competing for houses, with, candidly speaking, the millennials getting their as$es handed to them.

But many of my millennial counterparts who chose to not pay down their loans are just gonna be more angry and I think as time goes on - this is going to be more of a political hot potato as they want more SL forgiveness/jubilee.

And that equals more inflation. Anyone any good at reading political documents? Is the debt ceiling deal actually any good?

I appreciate your opinion and 100% agree. It's going to be ugly. I just wonder if many millennials are really about to take on both. I am one and am fortunate to not have student loans, but the ones I know that do have them, I hope they were smart to pay them off during this grace period instead of messing with the stock market or buying houses.

Heineken-Ashi

No true cuts. Only very minor reductions in future spending or deferred spending.

If the government were beer candles, the spending trend is still very much up. Don't bet against the trend. You'll lose your ass. And then you'll likely lose your ass anyway.

Hard to be upset about taking a 30% profit in two days, but I wish I'd held on to my earlier SOXL shares that I let go for 14% profit on Thursday.

Not a bit of good. The GOP can't negotiate a lollipo put the hands of a 5 year old much less negotiate a debt ceiling. Biden is getting what he wants and the GOP is complicit in growing government. The only ones pissed are the far left nuts that want complete socialism and didn't get it all their way.

Sold the last of my SOXL shares. Seemed like it might be a slow decline to a red close kind of day.

+22% overall profit in two days. Not bad.
