What I think happened today - an institution or someone like Icahn was trying to force a trend down day. They were relentlessly selling, as large as 1000 NQ and ES lots. All of these got absorbed but because of the positioning this is having a drag effect on the bid. One side will get run over.
shorts are about to get trucked I think.

I feel like it wants to run but the bulls are having serious trouble getting above 412.10. If they can, this should be fun

Is it? I'd like to see stats on skew relative to volatility events like FOMC or CPI/PPI.

Be cautious of hedge unwinding which would suppress VIX and cause a grind up, if not a squeeze.

BRDS is having a strange day. Seems their earnings were good to me, but admittedly I'm no professional at interpreting these things. I am thinking .12 may be a good entry for a run up. Anyone have any thoughts?

What am I missing here? Huge sell off this morning after the AH bump. Luckily I sold CC on 1/2 my shares and this is long hold in my IRA, but I dont see why this is selling off yet MGNI which had great call as well is shooting up.

I grabbed a 63c for a friday lotto

So far so good. Nice round bottom...

Might take a minute for me to put something like that together, but FJ might with his program.

Here's a 1 yr chart of SKEW.

I don't see anything amazing for lottos, but i think short side is probably the play.

Other option is for them to sell it until about 2:55 and then try to scoop some covering upside.

I am not sure about it being toast. They have spent a lot of money to get the plant to point it is at the state of Alabama had a lot invested in this company getting off the ground.

The future is ominous for sure but I wouldn't call it dead yet.

It may take a little luck but all small stocks like this do honestly

This 408 to 414 zone on SPY has been around essentially since the beginning of April. It certainly spent much of February and all of March below but there was serious inflation talk at that time. I'm not sure what to think here other than just wait and see. Take advantage of intraday moves and so forth but this zone seems to be here to stay until something major happens. It has been putting in higher lows since Oct 22, when I think the Fed may have started talk about pausing this year. Correct me if I am wrong on that. I think we are at the mercy of the Fed making an announcement on pausing rates or increasing.

We sure this is a good idea? May be an advantage to have all of our athletes eligible and no one being suspended/kicked off the team compared to some other places for placing online bets

I want them to put it on the ballot for voters to decide and not decided by corrupt politicians that have been bought off for years saying it's morally wrong. I'd like to see casino resorts in Texas and keeping money here instead LA, MS, OK and Vegas.

Removing casinos to prevent dumbasses on our team from making bad decisions is useless because it doesn't remove the dumbass from them. Pot is not legal, yet 3 to 4 of our best recruits/players smoked it in the locker room of all places. Chris Marshal, one of those involved, transferred to Ole Miss and was recently dismissed from the team. How in TF do you get dismissed from Ole Miss and Kiffen? You can't cure dumbass, so being against casinos for that reason is futile.

Well, not quite. You need things like roads, defense, public schools, and so on. I can even see the necessity of means tested Medicare and social security. But I don't like telling people what they can and cannot do so long as it's not harming anyone else.

https://www.cassavasciences.com/news-releases/news-release-details/cassava-sciences-completes-patient-dosing-randomized-controlled

Quote:

AUSTIN, Texas, May 11, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cassava Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: SAVA), a clinical-stage biotechnology company, today announced the completion of patient dosing in a 6-month, randomized controlled trial of simufilam in over 125 patients with Alzheimer's disease. This trial is known as the Cognition Maintenance Study (CMS). Simufilam is Cassava Sciences' investigational oral drug treatment for Alzheimer's disease dementia.

"We all know that Phase 3 studies, if successful, provide evidence of efficacy," said Remi Barbier, President & CEO. "Our Cognition Maintenance Study addresses a flip side of the drug efficacy question: What happens when Alzheimer's patients who were taking simufilam for a year stop taking the drug for six months? Differences that emerge between the group of patients that continued to take simufilam versus the group of patients randomized to placebo may suggest evidence of simufilam's efficacy."

The CMS is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 6-month trial designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of simufilam in patients with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease dementia. The CMS follows a randomized withdrawal study design. To enroll in the CMS, patients must have previously completed 12 months or more of open-label treatment with simufilam. Enrollment in the CMS was open to all patients who responded to open-label treatment, as well as to all patients who had no apparent response to open-label treatment.

CMS study participants were randomized (1:1) to simufilam or placebo. The primary outcome measures are safety and change in cognition scores (ADAS-Cog) over 6 months in over 125 patients who completed dosing. The CMS dataset remains locked and blinded. After unlocking, the dataset will be analyzed by outside biostatisticians. Subgroup analyses may include patients by stage of disease, prior response to open-label treatment, baseline scores or other crucial shared characteristics.

Cassava Sciences expects to announce CMS top-line data in Q3 2023.

In case you didn't see this. I copied from another board.

Quote:

On the road but spoke to the clerk of the court who just entered the docket update for the Texas case. Pulled over to extract this from PACER and share as soon as possible. ORDER GRANTING IN PART AND DENYING IN PART Defendants' Motion to Dismiss. Plaintiff's claims against Defendant Nadav Friedmann are DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE. The Motion to Dismiss Plaintiffs' claims as to all other Defendants is DENIED. Signed by Judge David A. Ezra. (jv2) (Entered: 05/11/2023). No further info in the docket for next steps.
- Friedmann is dead. Likely better to omit him.
- The Motion to Dismiss Plaintiffs' claims as to all other Defendants is denied.
- Hopefully this goes passed discovery and then passed summary and moves to trial. In the meantime, forthcoming positive news regarding simufilam will only support the case in trial.
- Europeans report on simu next mon or tues in Turkey. Pre-released notes, it's all positive.

Hell, I'm 50 and don't think that ponzi scheme will even be there and I've paid in since I was 16.

I'd happily donate what's in there for the elderly to get their money in exchange for the right to be released and then allow me redirect my further contributions into a self directed tax free account.
