I am a licensed financial advisor. I'm new but I just had to learn about all this stuff.

You would have to prove a lack of suitability.

Very unlikely to prove a lack of suitability because munis are considered an extremely conservative investment even if it's longer duration.

The fact that you complained in writing has already started a mandatory paper trail.

If you really wanna go hard you can lodge a complaint with FINRA… you may look on brokercheck to see if this is a recurring theme with the advisor.


But generally speaking, if you'd mentioned that she lost a ton on TSLA, that would be an easy to prove suitability issue. Munis will be tougher for an older client.

This is also common. Bonds of all kinds were dismantled this year.

I also think that muni will very likely rebound in the near future.

It's been over 2 decades since I was in the industry so if things have changed then ignore my opinion.

Ed Jones is an extremely conservative firm and the fact she signed over trading authorization on her account, you have no case against him/her or the firm. You're not listed on the account so he legally can't talk to you about her account, thus not answering you.

Forget the maturity date, what's the rate on the munis? She's probably only down 8K because interest rates have increased. Once rates go back down, that price per bond will increase and she can sell them. In the meantime, she will collect the income as time goes by until the price gets to a point she/you will be happy.

JMO

Aggie Daniel and AustinAg would probably know more but I haven't seen them on here for awhile now..

Thank you for the reading. We have a quickly declining price with increasing volume on a growth security that has experienced rapid growth over the last two years, so I understand the comparison to Stage 3 where old money has been selling and new money has been buying.

But in the very short term, thoughts on a bullish Harami pattern on TSLA going into next week? (I'll probably eat my words in the morning)

I don't love that futures are not getting a bounce for the idea of a Santa rally. It could still come, but would need to be a banner day tomorrow. It is also hard to take the pride action too seriously with what the volume is.

I don't think WWR was that, but there are a ton here who didn't manage risk well in it.

Will Meade was in on BBIG, KMPH, DATS and a few others.

I'm not suggesting this actually happens, but when you look at the historical prices, the 2s show up pretty regularly.

I agree. I think Zack (Edward) was just rubbing their nose in it by laughing about being a pumper etc.

Will definitely has to be on the list.

Don't forget they nailed Alex de Large (sp?) earlier in the year.

I have been swinging some Jan 6 372 puts but seems it's better to close now and fight again another day. A short term rally is due especially with sentiment in the toilet. Almost closed yesterday but I held them because yesterday was lowest closing price but a higher low than Thursday.

In fact, it looked like a small triangle had formed from the Thursday price action and yesterday was a breakdown, but looks like there's no follow through, so a rally is very possible here.
