Glad to have you, but I'd suggest you ask questions if you have them instead of feeling like you have nothing to contribute and lurk. Your question might be the same as someone else's that doesn't feel like they should ask. This thread is very helpful and respectful. Everyone here wants everyone to better themselves and their family.

ETA: Nothing feels better than knowing new traders that avoid the landmines that we stepped on in the past that blew up our accounts.

Another option is to sell 2,500 shares and then sell 10 call contracts (that covers another 1,000 shares) with a $2.50 strike. Assuming you'd get the price you mentioned and assuming you can get $1.20/share for the calls, you'd be net free plus and still have 548 shares uncovered to keep as your runners. You'd likely get the $2500 when those contracts executed as well.

You already won this trade so congrats. I would put a stop just below the 8 day moving average and see if you can ride it up some more. Scott Redler always preaches never hold shares into earnings so I would look to trim some shares up here and not get too greedy

It depends on your timeframe. If it's a stock you want to hold on to for a long time then follow OAs mass accumulation strategy. If you are swing trading then hit your targets and leave some runners.

Just flashed above 3800 and now reversing a bit. SPY 380 was first target for Model T from Sept high. Aug high Model T is gonna be in SPY 389 range and SPY 412-415 range to retrace entire move from recent low and ATH.
