I get the Model T concept (50% retracement from high/low) but always confuses me on what points to use. I guess this is the part that is more art than science?

Netflix gets a price rating from 190 to 220 from a group and they are the only red stock on my watchlist. I understand the stock was trading around $240 so it's higher than what the rating had it at but it's still an upgrade for a price rating… is that still enough to bring this stock down?
earnings drift is a thing too remember. It could be weak for months and months.

I bet it could go back to the 50 day MA. The market seems to be in a pattern of rally time until a week before the next FOMC meeting. Then, it throws a fit and tanks. It sort of acts like a spoiled brat child. LOLQuote:

The 50 is right at 4000 almost.... That seems like a great spot to be slapped back down based on previous inflection points up top.

I bought SPX puts at 11:34 this morning. I was hoping for a 40% return. Had stops and went into a meeting. Came out to sell them for over 100% profit but could have been 200% if I had held.

if you're going to bag hold it for months, hoping for a huge rally, why not sell covered calls on the position in the mean time?
To be honest because I've never done the legwork to learn how these work.

It's very tough to do if your way under water. For instance, in NVDA at 180. Would be huge gamble to sell calls at a strike well below my break even.
Plus considering it's leveraged, the hole really isn't as big as it seems on paper. Once we bounce back to mid September level I'm already in the black.
If you don't think we bounce well beyond that before the end of the year I think you're more bearish than most.

First 2 minutes of after hours looking good for those, congrats. I know this is what they want, just remembering the beating too well to have any conviction.
