I wonder if China is covering their short on oil and equities or adding to it. If they get Western media to report on more lockdowns we know they are still short and more pain coming. Might be one of the best indicators these days on finding a near term bottom.
As of late Powell would like to see market crash on expectation of rate hikes so he can take foot off gas on actual hikes. China plays long game, so would probably prefer a run up from here and forced Volcker type crash to put America on its heels while they take Taiwan.
