Correct. That's a chunk of change for sure.

I am sure there are other companies on that level like Apple where you can do the same percentage on the outs for less money due to cheaper $ share price.

Margin account only needs like 20k to place the trade. If you have portfolio margin even less. Not a recommendation just pointing it out.

I'm selling puts to take advantage when the premiums are juiced. I like 5-8 days out and way OTM. Find a line in the sand support on the chart above your strike. If that breaks roll your position to a lower strike and the next week out. If you get a move in your favor the premium evaporates from the IV drop and the delta move. Close the trade and wait for the next shot.

You are correct and as I said not a recommendation. Just pointing out it doesn't have to be a $200k trade. It could also be traded as a credit spread to reduce the total risk.

I almost bought a 735C yesterday on TSLA at about 1 pm. Kicking myself now cause thats about a 4 bagger at this point. Probably a 10 bagger by day's end. Oh well….my SPY calls are looking like a good move at the moment.

Also remember you can short shares right now to lock in a drop before the open. I'd do that with at least a portion of these contracts if they were mine. But I'm a paper handed ***** that sells before close, so I can't be trusted.

I saw Musk's tweet last night and took it as sarcasm. I still think it's a joke. It would be funny if he clarifies that this morning and twitter pops back to $50.

I bought some $780 calls yesterday afternoon for $3 a contract. At close yesterday I think they were around $1.50. We will see what we open at.

If we do get a run in the coming days, remember it's OPEX week and that we're still in a downtrend. Now is the time to consider objective rules defining what is a selling opportunity to get out of any holdings you regret. That avoids an emotional decision next week. For me personally, I like to sell on confirmed reversals to the downside, similar to how I like to buy on reversals to the upside.

So how do you determine that? Newbie question..

SKEW drops further, VIX almost touching 30 here, every sector is green. Sometimes the obvious trend day happens and I think it will today. Be ready for at least some trickery, though. Maybe an opening red run or a low volume lunchtime reversal downward before powering back up. We could also get a red wave at the close if people still loath to hold over the weekend.

There's a right way and there's an engineer way. The engineer way, I take half the move (green or red) and go that far (up or down) from the strike price to get a midpoint delta. I multiply that delta by the whole amount of the move (up or down) and then I add or subtract that from the previous contract price prior to the move. I'll usually add or remove a little WAG amount, depending on if the move goes with or against my momentum, but that's not a material amount.

What I like to do is look at close price & close bid/offers for comparable strike to open price.

TSLA close: 728
TSLA open: 770 (as an example)

Call you own strike: 770
I'd look at the 730 call close: bid: 14.5 and offer 15

So for your 770 that closed at 2.67 @ 2.9, I'd expect the value to open around ~$15-16 (assume some lost premium due to overnight risk loss but then do a relative adjustment for ITM vs OTM). It is kind of crude but helps capture the volatility of the option when it is atm or near the money.

For those in TSLA, 808 really around 800-810 i'd expect it to consolidate down if it makes it that far.

MSTR is up 16.5% this morning. Has had sizable volume lately but I think that is a bit deceiving since the stock price is 10-40% what is was trading for the past couple of years.

Why would anyone be a crypto maximalist when the Fed has vested interest in killing anything that threatens USD or their monetary powers, politicians on left use it for class warfare, and politicians on right call it threat to national security?

Do these folks putting retirement in BTC see this country moving towards small gov and markets free of Fed intervention going forward?

Trade away, but only way it works longterm is if the Fed is disbanded and majority of congress changes from corrupt bureaucracy to Rand Paul. The digital USD will drop soon and BTC holders wil be labeled pro-China. Could still hit $100k before $1.
