When/if TSLA and SPX get to the top of their 5-min BB I'm selling my calls. Might be overly conservative, but I'm trying to protect my profits today.

Agree to disagree, there's a whole subreddit dedicated to TQQQ if y'all want more info. We all know the risks, I'm not relying on that money

Was it a trap or are we getting another push? Come on bulls!
I don't follow. buying calls at the top of the Bb is betting the n a breakout. Similarly buying puts at the bottom is betting on further selling.Bob Knights Liver said:
If we run up the top of that upper 5-mIn BB for the next couple candles, I'll get back in calls. If we come off for the next couple candles, I'll get in some puts at strikes close to the lower BB.

That being said - Gas hit $4.18 here at the local Kroger, which is higher than the early days of Ukraine Conflict where O&G was trading at $130/bbl. I don't really understand why they are rising right now like this other than increased transportation costs to get there? Or are gas station owner's just collectively shafting the consumer?
It's because the price at the pump as to be forward looking to manage cash flow for future purchases.Red Pear DFW Luke said:Gas prices are bad and you should feel bad.Saltyag15 said:x2. WTF are these people thinking?TecRecAg said:

I don't think he was buying at the top of the BB. He was waiting for confirmation of a pullback to buy puts (and he did so around a huge area on ES, 3950), rejection of that was a pretty solid put buy.Ragoo said:I don't follow. buying calls at the top of the Bb is betting the n a breakout. I try and do the opposite.
refiners have also switched to producing lower RVP gasoline for the summer months. Which is a little more costly to begin with.Red Pear DFW Luke said:Gas prices are bad and you should feel bad.Saltyag15 said:x2. WTF are these people thinking?TecRecAg said:

Since the pandemic started and a ton of people started working from home - I believe the number of extremely small active investors grew exponentially.
I suspect for a lot of them, this is their first (and last) down cycle as an active investor.

I agree with this 100%. People that didn't even know what the stock market was before 2020 became day traders.FrioAg 00 said:

TSLA is bouncing off of its bottom trend line from this morning. AAPL retraced to its launch point this morning and is building up. Signs that point to optimism.TecRecAg said:
