Hahah. Still learning that part of my game. Hardest part for me is bailing on a trade.

I read an article in which an analyst stated that a v-shaped reversal was actually pretty rare. Or you set some moving stop as the price goes back up where you will sell your new shares or contracts at a profit if the price turns south. Then you arrive right back at the decision of whether it's an uptrend or a dead cat bounce, but at least you've made some profit along the way.

Decay. If you own it during green days or weeks, it leverages your profit, just like buying calls yourself. If the market goes sideways, the value of it decays just like calls decay with theta. If the market goes down not only do you lose value at a leveraged clip, but also due to decay.
So if you know we're going up and know when we're going up it's great. However it's not a long term hold.

No. It isn't leveraged. It's an ETF like SPY.
