Not an expert by any means...just gut feel. I think this market trend continues until the FED is done with their interest rate hikes. That is, all summer.

Or significantly longer if inflation doesn't get reined in.

When you look at things like the Taylor Rule and then realize the 0.5% rate hike (largest since 2000) is only taking the target rate to 0.75%-1% you start to realize how behind the fed really is.

Politics could intervene with a mid-term election coming up that's shaping up to be an absolute disaster for the democrats...but that's only a few months away...

Point being (and I am POUNDING the table here) ... I would avoid ARK funds and their holdings in this market. There's no such thing as "fallen too much". There's always potential for more downside.

Totally agree….but they have to correlate eventually. Sentiment runs markets acutely but long term will reflect the fundamentals of the economy. Whoever times that makes all the benjies.

The Fed is not on the long side. That's why the market is tanking. It won't be until inflation is resolved. Stay patient, raise cash, and wait for valuations to continue coming down.

I said that I was selling in April, but I overstayed my welcome and now I am selling in May and will go away for a few months.

what about an actual recession?

I would think that is not great for growth stocks.

if companies start to miss all of their forward guidance- isn't that going to put pressure on their stock price?

but of course energy companies are cyclicals as well- when the recession starts to kick in and inflation eventually moderates at a high level the stocks on energy producers will start to moderate as well.

even though I have been buying a lot of energy the last few months, it's not like that is going to prop up the market for years at a time.

His "top priority" is fighting inflation...

and yet he has done EVERYTHING HE COULD to pass more trillions in debt spending.
