Well I just did something super dumb. Sold all my broad market index funds and dumped half of it into TQQQ, 150 shares.

Gambling on a bounce the rest of the week to get out quickly. But if it keeps dropping I'm in real trouble.

Ready to find a bottom. Wife has a 403b from an old job that I'm ready to throw in an IRA. Obviously can't time it exactly, but I think if I can wait 2 weeks I'll make the most on it.

Welcome to the casino. The market has become nothing but short term "traders" and big cigars. After all the important techs blow out earnings this week, all will be well. Just driving price down so they can start accumulating VERY. You're better off playing blackjack in Vegas.

keep in mind everyone that the Russians face 5/4 as their deadline for debt repayments/default.

the same day as the next Fed Reserve FOMC meeting.

I used to be until I started buying stocks.

I will say I don't usually go in for plays this risky, but I guess I feel fairly strongly that we are at or very near the bottom for QQQ and have a big week ahead for tech stocks.

At this point I'm just wanting to take profits quickly and get back into safer positions.

Am I reading this correctly...you're doing the following?

Selling Index Funds --> Moving Index Fund Capital to 3x leveraged ETF --> Moving 3x leveraged ETF Capital to Bonds

Nope, half of index fund capital went to 3x leveraged and half is going to bonds.

In my head I'm canceling the risk with the safe investment.

If it all works out, I can take profits and move those back into either QQQ or index funds.
