Saw this late last night. Why would someone sell VIX Nov 95P? He looks like he sold 368 of them for 2.5 MM premium. What am I missing?

DISCK spread premium to T dipped down to $1.51. It's happening. Market Makers continue the squeeze to get a $1.00 spread between DISCK and T. My model projected $1 spread and it's slowly getting there. I do think (-conspiracy of course-) that Market Makers teamed for one strategy and flushed both DISCK and T. Once WBD separates, containment no longer needed and T and WBD head north, because yesterday's bond buyers spoke volumes and couldn't have sent a more clear signal, IMO.

Time to hit the fridge..

Do you have a reason for following or was it a just because he did it? Not trying to be condescending, but following OA blindly will lead to a blown up account speaking from experience. He took those puts when UAL is already down 40% in less than a month. Hell, it was down 25% over the three prior trading days.

OA has some good calls, but need to do our own due diligence and understand he can take more chances than most

Premium was 67. 95-67=28. As long as above that they profit right? Seems like a good cash flow move for now with plenty of time to cover

Or they assume war or electoral chaos

I ordinarily wouldn't respond, but I don't like what you're implying and I think your viewpoint on this based on your question is very basic. I said "The Fed is really to blame". The Fed is in principal neither republican nor democrat. I have no idea what would have happened if Democrats were in power, but I don't think it would be much different. It is intellectually dishonest to blame the next guy just because he's not on your team. Blame the prior guys instead, as far back as you want. Me saying something that isn't a glowing review of the Republican party or Trump does not mean I am a democrat or liberal.

VIX channel I had, bottom support broken. LFG!

short squeeze into tomorrow is my guess (if VIX keeps dumping) We haven't broken this support line in 3 weeks. This trend started in mid February.
