Thanks!Irish 2.0 said:For me it is the aggressive option flow I've seen today and that candle on the 1min chart (I never use the 1min for TA) was 171K shares. The highest 1min bar the rest of the day 47K. It is ER, so it is a crap shootCSTXAg92 said:mazag08 said:That's tempting as hell.Irish 2.0 said:
I don't typically do ER plays, but some SNOW volume caught my attention. 811K on the 4/14 265C. I got in at $26. Good bit of size buyers at the 3/18 315C too. This little volume candle caught my attention...
Can you two offer some additional perspective on what makes this attractive? Asking as I'm trying to learn. TIA.
Thank you!mazag08 said:Big volume bar that you assume is a goal post. Looking back, the next closest one in size came closer to the highs of the week with this one being closer to the lows. Meaning you had smart money potentially exit at the weekly highs and re-renter on the lows today, potentially signaling a move back up on the near horizon.CSTXAg92 said:mazag08 said:That's tempting as hell.Irish 2.0 said:

Personally, I don't play short term trades enough to feel confident about volume spikes on small candles. If I see them on hourly or daily candles then I consider jumping in.
But I'm a small pea. 30k and one of the McInnis personalities likely bought 1,000 contracts.

Man, I have to learn how to set stops or manage trades better. I'm making small profits with 30k's plays, but keep missing out on a lot by setting trailing stops too tight. Inevitably I get stopped and then the trade runs again.
we're up $4K plus. It's OK to let one trade not work. We gave QQQ a lot of room today. It didn't work. We sacrifced $200. Big whoop.jwhitlock3 said:AgEng06 said:

Some of this is position size as well I think. If your positioned small enough you're more willing to let the play work.
Out for a 25% gain.BourbonAg said:Bought 1 XSP 4 Mar 22 441c for $1.60 just to experiment with using pivots and practice setting my stops.BourbonAg said:
