If a private company oil embargo gets slapped on Russia, which the foundations are already in place and are beginning, the 10 year will drop through the floor. I'm thinking even to the 2/10 inversion recession signal level.
If Russia and Ukraine announce cease fire, 10 year rockets to 2.25% almost immediately.
Both will crush future earnings estimates. I'm treating yesterday like a dead cat bounce.

Man, I have to learn how to set stops or manage trades better. I'm making small profits with 30k's plays, but keep missing out on a lot by setting trailing stops too tight. Inevitably I get stopped and then the trade runs again.
This was me for a long time. I've gotten better but I still fall victim. When you get those 100%+ gains on some, you think they can all get there.. and they can't.

Personally, I don't play short term trades enough to feel confident about volume spikes on small candles. If I see them on hourly or daily candles then I consider jumping in.
But I'm a small pea. 30k and one of the McInnis personalities likely bought 1,000 contracts.

Some of this is position size as well I think. If your positioned small enough you're more willing to let the play work.
I have been working on this. One of the things John Carter said in Mastering the Trade (and I am sure plenty of others have said too) is most people should cut their position size in half and double the width of their stop.
