SPY is safer. What I am going to do going forward is trade SPY on the non expiration days and trade XSP on the 0 DTE expiration trade days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).

Why I like XSP is it's an index option and it's LT gains on a portion because it can cash assign.

Interesting. On mobile so can't see much but looks like back then it kept going down for a couple months after that date, then ripped til Covid for the most part

Do you guys know what suspension of creations means when it comes to ETFs?

I would think the RUSL, RSX are no-brainer shorts but not sure what this means nor if there will be people crazy enough to buy the dip at historic lows.

OK - I'm f'ing proud of this. It is really nerve racking to publicly make trades for you guys and know that people are taking them. Obviously you're responsible for your own stuff. But, we did this in the face of big volatility!

I assumed max gain for premium that's currently open. I also capped the current price where we have a short option and price is above it. Only one bad trade in my opinion - SHOP. Please let me know if I made any mistakes on this. It's late in the day, and I rarely do spreadsheets anymore.

looks like in 2008 it was still another 10% down from the 13th of November. (I could be a little off, was looking at the Q's).

We are currently at the hospital in Dallas and an MRI today revealed my 7 year old son, Caleb, has a brain tumor that has spread to his spinal cord. He has surgery scheduled for tomorrow (Thurs) around noon currently. From there they will figure out what we're dealing with and a plan to fight this thing.

Life is so unfair sometimes. Last week he was playing sports and doing his Jiu jitsu and out of nowhere this. He's the sweetest little boy who loves school, space, sport, and the Aggies. All I want is to be able to take him to his first game at Kyle next fall.

Please pray for him and the doctors and nurses tomorrow. His Aggie mom and I would appreciate it more than you know.

**11:51am Thurs update. They just took Caleb back for surgery to remove the tumor. I love my Aggie family so much. Thank y'all from the bottom of my heart for you thoughts and prayers**

**2:30pm Thurs update. Surgery was successful and the doctor believes he was able to get all of the tumor out of Caleb's brain. We still have a long road ahead but step 1 is done. Todays prayers were answered, thank you Lord!**

Closed that day at 1597 and stayed in a range until finding the bottom on March 9, 2009 at 1268.

So basically had 20% more downside after that day.

I'm going to bet that 2008 is not statistically significant to our current situation.

As long as NATO (us) don't get involved and Putin doesn't attack a NATO member, then the worst is past us. The wildcard, and it's a big one, is China and Taiwan. We need that one to calm down or this morning's low could be a fond memory.

Thanks for posting that Prog. This is about the only board I check at the moment and seeing that broke my heart as a father but also glad to see the updates from him.

A Friday opening hour plunge below 4200 to hit the model T of today's up move and then a push to close above 4300 makes a lot of sense to me. Either way I just want a good trend day to play long or short instead of big chop. It'll be interesting to watch.

I talked with a friend that works for a brokerage firm this afternoon. He said they were overloaded with clients calling all morning to dump their stock holdings. Smart money got the liquidity it wanted.
