Not totally true, see UPST from yesterday (+30%!), DVN today (+5%)

Lot of these recent earnings on popular tickers are still undergoing their post COVID bloodlet. Some are struggling to return value to shareholders still and are getting trounced, and others are doing well but still have to reforecast growth to reflect reality. That directly impacts valuation.

Throw in data sharing pipelines tightening up (Apple, Google now) and there's a lot of recalibrating left to do

You need to look at guidance for '22. The ones that are bombing after good earnings have weak or otherwise poor guidance for FY22 tucked in behind those flashy earnings numbers.

TTD is falling because of the news of Google tightening privacy controls. Earnings and guidance were fine, but their guidance wasn't accounting for GOOG news.

Just using TTD as an example I am not sure why growth companies bother to issue guidance. Either stop or maybe ranges. I work for a mature, steady entity and it's not easy to estimate. Here is how they stacked up in actual vs guidance which tells me guidance means nothing:
