Low volume day, most sectors are green, but it's the names like AMC, CLOV, GME, and PROG that I see really popping. SPX rejected near the 20-ema and 150-sma. This feels like a day to sell before we are going to see big red candles - like 1/11 was. Good for trading but I'll be careful about leaving anything overnight if it continues like this.

PTON having it's biggest volume day ever today. Even crazier that it's on a day where the rest of the market is relatively low volume.
Bought some more fb today. Can't stay away at these prices. I am prepared to continue to buy unless it breaks 190.

I'm disappointed I didn't play airlines today. Yesterday we saw a bunch of blue states simultaneously lifting mask mandates and other covid restrictions. That should have made me think green airlines, restaurants, casinos, and hotels for today. I didn't connect the dots from the news to the markets. Normally I'm quick to do that.
This leaves us with:
- KO shares - holding
- DKNG shares - holding
- DWAC short put - holding
- RBLX short put - holding
- SHOP shares - holding
$450 SPY is like a magnet these last few days.
I wonder if the question is "is FB a buy now" vs. "is FB the best buy now". If what I've learned on this board is correct, then prices are driven by potential. So, how do we justify this stock's potential when it's losing "subscribers" and missing earnings? I dunno. I'll probably buy some too, but surely there are stocks whose case for "potential" is easier to make?Tumble Weed said:

I took a small nibble at 224 (I think) I'm not in a rush to go super long on it, but when the selling pressure does end, it'll be a great trade because I could easily see a 10-20pt move on that day.sts7049 said:

Bought some FB 2023 LEAPS after the earnings crater, those are now down 40%.

No doubt about it, I catch the knife quite a bit. I like to buy on the bad news and usually enter before the true bottom.
If I could hit the true bottom every time I would quit my day job.
Had worse loss and won't be my last. I just can't see them keeping FB down at these levels in the long term.sts7049 said:
