I think this may be a sign that any more escalation may not be completely priced into the market. It wasn't news but as soon as it is reported again, the market dumps? Just seems fishy.

Someone here last year expanded on this when I brought up similar (it wasn't Ukraine, but similar 'event' that the market dumped after).

The news stories that hit the wire are the big catalysts for macro movements. Wars, covid, inflation, Congressional bills stalling out, etc., those are big high visibility triggers for the market to make a move.

And for that move to shake out retail. Meaning, the money makers have already positioned themselves the other direction.

The market basically ran on no good news today, so it makes sense something like that hits and dings the market.

It's unfortunate, but part of the game we choose to play.

I also think we see these selloffs as people trying to avoid getting caught too long overnight. May not even be any sentiment change, simply a lack of buying momentum so they want to take some profits and get out.

Our stuff looks OK. $SHOP I took at the high of day when it looked like it was gonna go, it didn't. I still want to hold it though because it's 2 shares.
