I may be stupid but I am starting to see some tradable bottoms on a lot of companies and the indices.

$340ish for QQQ
$432ish for SPY

I would think these hold for a few weeks of chop until February expiry.

what we want to see is price getting over 4400 and staying there. We're fine where we are, but ideally we just grind up with the lower vol.

I know TTD is mentioned off and on in here, but I just wanted to look at it from a bird's eye view. I looked at the Q3 10-K, and here are the highlights.

  • They have a boat load of cash, and that balance has been increasing over time.
  • Long-term debt is low. Very low compared to assets.
  • From YE 2020, assets have increased, liabilities have decreased.
  • They are profitable, and have been for a while.
  • Their PE is high and EPS is pretty low.

With all that being said, we're 40%ish down from the high in December, but they could still be over valued based on that PE. I still think starting a long-term position after the Nasdaq figures its issues out could be a good move.

Breadth may be lacking (only a few tickers driving the market), which can be suggestive of weak internals in a rally; i.e., dead cat bounce.

Don't know if anyone is still tracking it but it seems like PLUG is a steal right now. Down to $19. It's been downgraded by a host of people primarily because of the expected interest rate environment but they are still in a position to win their sector being the market leader.

Seems like overreaction, but just my opinion based on what I've read!

I had a couple hundred sitting around and tossed it on TTD a bit blindly admittedly. Ever since, I have been reading their filings / releases and am pretty impressed with the company as a whole. I struggle to guess what a good entry point is but the company is impressive so far and seems to have good management which sets up for a potential solid LT play...

I have scalped a couple of small SPY P trades this morning. I did OK, but am having trouble staying ahead of the losses on long shares in my account.

Currentlt in SPY P 2/11 435's at $9.04
