By far the worst week for me. Way too much exposure to Elox and WWR. Time for a drink and a good distraction.
I don't know how long you've been in the market, but expect both stocks to get a little worse during December. Watching your monitor praying for a reversal is not going to happen due to tax loss selling and inability to buyback because of wash rules. JMO, but we've all experienced what you're feeling.JbKing45 said:

We are in no man's land and could go go either way. The bulls defense of SPY 450 all day was impressive, especially the end. If I had to guess, I think we will still get a Santa rally in SPY because of the mega caps because of window dressing by fund managers to close out the qtr/yr. I'm concerned about earnings season in Jan-March. It looks like a sell the news event for most companies, even if they crush earnings. If I'm right, then that is the most likely time for a correction.$30,000 Millionaire said:
Try to ignore it. We were due for a correction and it looks like it may be happening.
/NQ is around -1, I would be surprised to see it get past -2.
. Thanks. Appreciate the feedback. At this point would you do anything?ProgN said:I don't know how long you've been in the market, but expect both stocks to get a little worse during December. If those were the only 2 stocks I was in, and had gains I could offset for tax purposes, then yes, I'd sell. If you don't have any capital gains to offset, then I'd sell enough to at least cancel out 3K of my ordinary income. IMO, you'll probably be able to buyback either one after 31 days near the same price you sell them at. I can't tell you what to do and ELOX never interested me, but I'm looking to buy some WWR the last week of December because it makes sense to me and the risk/reward curve is worth it.JbKing45 said:. Tough call, to each his own. I'm in same boat with those two. I had trimmed ELOX quite a bit above $1. But actually added more WWR today at $2.55, now avgd at $4.
If this sell-off is partly due to all the ag whales here tax harvesting, then we can expect a healthy spike in Q1....especially if we get a positive PR on their pilot and future plant construction. Imagine there would some amount of fomo and chasing for those WWR believers on sideline.
Oh yeah, OA is holding/adding.

Nice to see you brother!
If we get the correction in the next couple months this is your mission, should you choose to accept it. You'll have to upload a pick of you wearing rally Gus in cutoffs, flip flops and a wife beater to turn the tide.
We hope you're kicking ass on your project.

Thank you, but tell me I'm FOS. Selling for a loss is extremely difficult to do. I'm not criticizing anyone because I still have difficulty doing it and holding out hope as it continues down.austinAG90 said:
Great post !!!!! Having a distressed background has enabled me to accept losses….in distressed if 2/10 hit we don't give a sh*t about the other 8…..folks need to go back to OP….. Don't get emotional about stocks Gordon……

All fun and bull**** aside, if this happens, the markets will sell off. Cash will be the preferred position. If we don't defend Ukraine militarily ( which I hope we don't), I expect China to move against Taiwan without fear of US response.

Do most of you guys hold the stocks you're long on (shares) through these bloodbaths or do you sell until confirmed reversals?

Interesting this happens as the deadline for our military people to get vaxxed passes and a number of the military members remain unjabbed.
By my estimation, QQQ needs to fall at least 13 more points. as it clearly has broken the neckline of its recent H&S formation.
Stay safe everyone, and Sic 'em!
