Bloodbath for sure. ELOX seems a bit of an overreaction though.

Had some fun with ELEK this morning. Picked it up just over $4 yesterday and sold at $7.80. One of my few wise decisions in the market so far!

How would you hedge in this instance if you are selling puts? I can't visualize it so I am a tad confused.
I don't sell puts on SAVA, but if I did I would hedge by buying a put a few strikes below the one I sold (just in case it goes to $0).

I own shares and sell CCs against them. I hedge my shares with puts and try to buy them after SAVA goes on a run.

For example, SAVA spiked two weeks ago and the 12/17 P50s dropped to 3.00. This was a good time to buy the P50s because they're 11.00 today. All of my shares were bought under $50, and $50 has been a strong support/resistance since February, so that's the level I like to work around. Now that I have some cheap 12/17 P50s, I can roll them to next year using profits from the recent drop.

When SAVA spiked 2 weeks ago, I sold C50s against my shares to capture profit and premium. I like this better than selling the shares because I get a little more profit with the premium and I can also roll the contract for more premium if the stock price doesn't come back down before expiration.

I think SAVA continues like this until they get approval of Simufilam or the fraud accusations are proven true.

Keep in mind, the citizen's complaint to the FDA has a timeline for FDA response in the mid-Jan to mid-Feb timeframe.

That's going to be a huge point on this - the FDA finds it credible, this thing is crashing and it makes sense to buy some puts to protect your shares cratering.

FDA finds it lacks merit and says SAVA all good, you're going to get a moonshot over $100.

He posted that maybe a month ago. He wasn't certain but thought fraud was probable given the evidence.

So essentially a put credit spread in this case? Got it now, don't know why it wouldn't click at first. I only have 50 shares right now so will probably average down to get to the even 100 to start selling a CC.

No clue. I just know that the Journal of Neuroscience came out and vindicated SAVA of any data manipulation.

The drug is useful for people with early diagnosis'. It blocks production of the protein that causes AD. So if you have had AD for a while, it wont repair the brain damage, but it will stop the production of the protein that causes AD. It can easily add 10-15+ years of life to so many people. This is groundbreaking medical advances. I wish more people could see what is actually going on. This might be one of the greatest medical achievements of the 21st century.

I'm a fan and investor in theirs, so rooting heavily for lots of reasons.

I do believe their data that they can improve things for 6-9 months at this point. Even that seems like a win with Alzheimers.

Considering there is no real good treatment on the market, its a significant win. Imagine being the manager of one of the hedge funds shorting SAVA (looking at QCM) and finding out that you are diagnosed with AD. I doubt they would be so quick to try and publish FUD against them.

UWMC with a $50M secondary offering. Down ~9% today

An offering when your stock is already at an ATL.....that doesn't sound like a good thing.

Correct, a put credit spread is the only way I'd feel comfortable selling puts on SAVA. You can still get good premium doing this.

The reaction to this is weird to me, maybe someone else can expand on it.

They announced that UWMC is buying all those shares with cash on hand. Controlling shareholder selling off 50 million shares, all being bought by UWMC.

This does draw down 100 of the 300 million cash they had previously announced as authorized for share buybacks.

Seems like they are retiring some shares no?

I agree with the bold. If Biogen can go crazy on lesser results, I am holding out hope for SAVA
