Something interesting I didn't think was possible:

Fidelity allows me to be both short and long SAVA shares. I sold CCs against my shares instead of selling my shares to capture profit. I think SAVA drops back to around $50 (unless the PFE rumor is true), so I put in a short sell order and Fidelity let me. So now I have both long and short SAVA shares in my account.

Check out AVXL.

It started moving up last week without any real catalyst. It's also an Alzhiemer's play.

This is kind of an off-the-wall question, but are there any websites/subscription services out there that lay out big events for the day/week/month? Things like earnings, IPOs, dividend dates, etc? Something that has it all in one place without having to search for individual companies?

The MarketWatch tab on ThinkorSwim has a calendar function that does basically what you are asking.

I Google 'earnings calendar' every day and click the nasdaq website.

Anyone have thoughts on BHP? I mentioned a few weeks ago and asked OA about it on Twitter.

Looks like it bounced off 52.58 a few times today. Is this the low it's gonna hit? It pays an enormous dividend and looks like fell based on some Chinese steel production or something. But this company actually mines other metals as well.

Anyone in this or debating it? Every time it falls this low it seems to find decent volume to keep it at this level. Appreciate any insight….

I think these moves were a hedge fund or two blowing up. They were probably short the garbage companies ahead of the fed taper announcement, expecting those to get hit the hardest. CAR was the spark that lit the margin call fuse.
