I'm holding bags on some naked BOIL calls I sold in early Sep… but I did so strictly as a hedge against an O&G stock I'm not allowed to sell yet, so I'm not too butt-hurt about it.

I thought i read that part of the port of la issue was that there is also no warehouse capacity?

REI is looking to fill a gap from July 6 on the 1 hr chart at $3.23. Resistance is between there and $3.31. Wherever it decides to bounce, we have gaps below first at $2.65 and then at $2.43. Both of those spots line up with typical retrace points from a big impulsive move like we've had this month. But don't get bearish on it. It needs that reset to load up at higher lows and set up the move to $5+ by the beginning of next year.

Anyone have insight into how to trade the agricultural commodity increases without trading directly in the commodities themselves?

BIGC just took out a lower gap from May 20 which also lines up with the 78.6% retrace of the May low and July high. It should turn up here and ultimately be up and up over the next 3-6 months or so towards $80. If it wants to go a little lower, I'm watching $46.50.

Why are markets crashing for the last 5 weeks?

This is a pretty broad question, but here's my thoughts:

1. End of Q3-beginning of Q4 is historically a bad time for the markets.
2. Many of us have felt the overall market is over-inflated for the current economic state of the country and due for some kind of correction for some time.
3. Political unrest about a lot of things, but namely this infrastructure bill.
4. The realization that inflation is here, real, and could still get worse (even though most people have known this for months)
