Yeah it didn't setup a good support at 278. Don't think I'm going to touch it till 282/285 area. Maybe even 300. There's a great opportunity to ride it from 300 to 320 and I want to be on that ride. But it's too messy right now

Wells Strategists See Pensions Selling 1 Bill Treas and 3Bill Large Caps

We are reading a synopsis from our friends at ITC, where Wells Strategists expect 1 billion of long treasury sales and 3 billion of out of large cap equities (same trade in our opinion) to go into EM equities and alternatives based on their view of the target mix...This is a quarter end trade for next week... Meanwhile treasuries are holding the 1.45 level for now.. Curve steepening...but we expect more pressure on longer treasuries

I sold a few tight iron condors on SPY for 10/08. It could be 3:1 returns vs risk but I'm going to close them out when I hit 35% gains. Low dollar play, just trying to do something to profit off of theta crush that I think we'll get after a very volatile week.

Looks like SAVA still has a high short interest, which is surprising since they released positive Phase 2 data this week and appear ready to begin Phase 3 trials.

Fidelity only has 121k shares available to short and the borrow rate is 1.75%, which is on the high side.

Might be one good announcement away from a short squeeze.

GILD question... On 5 day and 3 month I THINK that I see a bull flag broken to the downside. Am I seeing it wrong?
Im thinking i need to cut losses on my Oct $75 calls based on this but want to make sure I'm seeing it right

Its in the 'handle' on a daily at the moment going back to Aug last year.

It could still go but will need a catalyst IMO.

Anyone here a goldbug? WTF is going on? Last time I mess with gold. I've realized I don't fully understand it enough to trade it and that it's manipulated enough that I'd have to very actively watch.

They grow weed and make cannabis related products (creams, etc.).

They are big in Colombia - worked with the government there to reform weed laws over the summer.

No clue what is driving this volume pop today.

I don't think anything has broken to the downside. Post a chart and show us what you see.

Even if it has, I'm not sure I'd bail yet. But I would be buying Nov $72.50's if you don't have any yet. There's a chance it comes back to bottom of channel one more time. So they might get a little cheaper. But could also break out soon.

I've got a convergence point a week before OCT expiration. I could see it doing something by next Friday. No science behind that.. just looks right when I look at it.

February $7.50 CALL strike
Currently $4.20 - $4.40 per contract
Looking for $1.50 - $2.75 per contract

February $10 CALL strike
Currently $2.60 - $2.80 per contract
Looking for $0.50 - $1.00 per contract

Look at the chart and you can see exactly how I see this move playing out. I would sell $7.50 puts out to November, December, or January but wait until we go back down and hit the lower trendline. Once we do, sell as many as your heart desires as a hedge against the calls. Use the premium earned on selling puts to buy your calls.

Next stop = Profit$$

Even if the calls don't pay off, you will still likely be in the green because of the puts you sold.
