If you got stopped out you set a bad stop.

How do you determine good stops on options? Or are you just setting on the underlying stock?
I chart my levels and know where my targets are.

On GILD, I've had support pegged at $70.85 (top of its previous wave before it's high) since it's high on August 18. I set an alert to go off if it breaks support. If it does, I execute a market order to sell.

With options, the price changes based on time decay, volatility, and price. So you can't just set a plain stop GTC. The corresponding stock price will jump around that option price.

I sold calls at $0.20 to go net free with 80 contracts of Sept$2 calls left. $3 or $4 would be dandy. Hell, $2.50 would be pretty good as well.

Something interesting I noticed today is that a few of my fintwit follows have all of a sudden changed. They got bearish all of a sudden. It's almost scary how quickly they flipped this button.

Same.. I sold my 730 calls at close because I saw too much FINTWIT chatter about TSLA breaking out and remember how that fared last time.. If it does gap up tomorrow maybe we can catch a dip once they flush the dumb money chasing at the opening bell.

If we get a little run out of this i think I'm out. 250k is not a lot of money for an institution or insider to induce a little frenzy so they can bail.
