You could make a killing buying right before the Europe close and holding into the afternoon. Seems like we had at least two days in a row of puke in the morning followed by afternoon recovery

You and horsefat must be the same. He was going long NQ at the Europe close SOLELY because Europe was closing.

Spotted an ascending triangle on PYPL on the 180 day chart. Bought Sep $310 calls.

Someone care to chart KLIC? Looks like it broke out above its channel line? Does this mean that upper channel will now be the new trend line?

I own shares in this company and it has recently gone up nearly 40% in the last week following a stellar earnings report.

I don't really wanna sell my shares, sell CC's that may get called away, and or buy more shares at a less than ideal price?

Any info would be appreciated. My current cost basis is $50.53/share.

added a TSLA lotto spread...

735/740C friday exp. Nick stonks (twitter follow) went TSLA 800C 8/20 (which I also grabbed).

both were ridiculously cheap for what they are

Yes, sure hoping they get current soon. Have debated whether or not to liquidate it. It's taking a bit of a hit today, but has had similar moves the last week or so.

I received the same message. Wasn't sure what to do about it, but in the end, I went net free and will just hold the shares regardless in my TDA account.

Anyone playing NIO earnings? I think a majority are already in some 8/20 calls but just curious if there were specific earnings plays out there.

I'm considering a 2:1 call ratio backspread 43/45...requires a large move, but guessing a large move is in order one way or the other. I structured it such that it should perform similarly to a 8/13 $47C but costs a little less. If the stock doesn't move, then I'm in trouble!

Anyone have experience with these ratio spreads?

I thought they had a "surprise" beat on car deliveries...but....I'm not necessarily expecting a rise or else I'd just go straight calls. I'm just expecting movement one way or the other. If it goes down significantly, the way I structured the call ratio spread would be a small loss...if it goes up significantly, momma gets some new shoes....if it goes nowhere, I go drink heavily.

Needs about 7% movement one way or the other for anything to really pay. I could easily see this being a premium eater for August.

Looks like CHWY completed a cup going back to March 31 today. Something to keep an eye on. Price is sitting right at Model T from its February high of $120 and its May low of $64.08.

The amount of volume in weekly AMD calls is insane....75K on the 110C....I sold out in the first 5 minutes this morning but I'm really tempted to take another trip in them. Smarter thing may be to go to 8/20 100C and buy some time....but damn its tempting.

the IV on the calls this week are pretty high. 120% + if I remember right. It will get held down, doesn't even matter what they show off. If you still want to play it, I'd go out a couple weeks, or to Sept if you can. or play a spread out 3 weeks (beyond OPEX next week).

Damn, iv isnt bad either. These might rocket. 8/20 is always safer.
I'm already in some aggressive spreads on it, 110/111c, cheap entry.

You can always close the order via TDA and get your money. You just can't buy more after 8/13. Mentions something about no guarantees to future liquidity.

Anyway I went ahead and sold all but 25% of what I had. Was up a ton and I'll let the rest ride.
