I just turned my OTM call into a spread.

I own the Aug $150c at $11. I just sold the Aug $170c at $16 to create a 150-170c spread. I locked in almost a 50% gain and created a $20 spread should SAVA go nuts tomorrow.

I think it depends on you and what you want, what your risk is.

If they have the nuts tomorrow, this is going over $200. If they don't, under $100, down to $70-80 range, maybe more.

If you're worried, take some off the table now and keep a little that you're comfortable with getting chopped for the announcement.

I'm Net Free on these shares which is why I am lamenting over how "greedy" I should be. I've let it ride this long waiting for the big one, but man it's hard not to take that profit on this run up to the announcement.

If you own shares you could sell the Aug $195 covered call for $12 or so right now.

If you own calls, you can see my post above about creating a spread that reduces or eliminates the risk while also limiting the upside.

Haven't looked much but quick look says go closer to the money and further out.

I went in the $98C 7/30 for $NUE at .8 around 9:30am Out an hour later @ 1.2 for a quick 50%. Trying to follow McInnis' trades and seeing trends he is picking up on stocks. $NUE has been doing this sort of thing almost every day recently.

Opens above previous close, drops quick and then runs up to close higher.

Opens below previous close, quick punch up then drops with a run to close higher.

It's not a hard and fast rule but it helps to know when to get in and when to drop if it doesn't stick to the trend.

This works. Seems pretty cheap with good risk/reward. I'm looking at 9/17s 100 or 105.

I just bought shares. Would rather own the shares vs watching theta decay eat into the options if the stock doesn't move as much as anticipated (as fast as hoped)

Not a lot of time to watch and wait for better entry but I just picked up both 100s and 105s for 9/17. I like the potential given it is 7+ weeks out.

He called it because it was a goalpost trade entry if I recall correctly. I'm still holding and looking to possibly add at sub $1 if I can catch it. Showing pretty good support right at $1.

It's a pharma company, so technicals matter only until big news is released. In March, they failed a Phase 3 for a drug they were working on and decided to not pursue it farther. Their future is pretty much unknown. My dad has been trading this stock for years and finally gave up recently. It's trash.

Hope I'm wrong though and y'all make a killing.

TA goal post trade. Low risk high reward. Stop out would be small loss compared to upside.

Not much to think about here for me anyway.

IDRA's got strong support at .98-1.00. Lots of bag holders up around 1.4/1.5, and a big seller at 1.38.

Low risk high reward if it has any news. Atlas kids were big on it too, lots of bag holders over there, just need to hold for a day when they decide to pump it.
