Any recommendations on a tutorial for the TOS desktop version? Or a good walkthrough?

I've been surviving on the web version but am trying to find time in the evenings to spend on charts and would like to start using more powerful tools. This seems to be a big step up from the web version and a little overwhelming.

i was pretty overwhelmed at first too. i just watched a handful of youtube videos to get the hang of a few basics and slowly i learned where things where and how to configure some stuff. plus the help section within TOS is really thorough also.

i'm still a pretty basic user considering its capability but its good enough for the amount of time i have.

TDA will actually set up a one one one call to go over the TOS platform with you, helped me tremendously.
Additionally TOS has hours of video and instruction built into it that you can use.

That is ridiculously cheap for what it is. I don't know if we get that kind of move from NFLX, but not a bad use of $65 to maybe make $5,000

Sell one sava put strike price 100 to collect $12
And then buy one sava call strike price 140 for $8.
Net credit of $400.

Is it normally just smarter to buy the call so i limit my potential loss to the $800?

I wouldn't do it, bad news could drop that well into the very large loss category overnight

If you want to get in, do a call spread, something like the 120/140.

If they don't have good news this week, you'll be getting called out to buy a 100 shares with that put.

You could also dump the $400 net into buying a 75p for a free play with unlimited upside and downside limited to $2500

Thanks for all the reply's. I really like the idea of the 75 puts to limit my loss to 2500. As for the other options, I normally do a lot call spreads, but for this stock I'd probably prefer a straddle.

Bit of red with VIX approaching 20 again.



If you followed on the SPY 441P Friday towards close congrats on what should be a nice trade to start the week.

Fed this week so stay on your toes.
Also big earnings reports so can go either way as we have all seen.

My plan is to play lighter this week and most likely even more tactically nimble....at least through Fed.

Bulls and the bears these days....
