RIG getting some love here. They are in a league of their own in the offshore biz. Rates coming up in their market that got smashed in last major downturn. Biden sucks, but ain't gonna stop the majors' drillships. Good hedge or inflation position to hold on to next 6 mo.

TSLA over 675 early PM. Maybe I can just end there. Maybe crazy Sam knows what he's talking about. Heck he even threw out an 800 number soon.

VIX below 16
SKEW still up at 154
SPY, Qs & IWM all up but really early.

Did a quick check around the world and looks like a lot of green. I think unemployment and other releases are premarket today so we shall see.

So, short and sweet today. All I know is I hope this holds and we can all make a buck right out of the gates today.

Early premarket its trying to press yesterday's high. If this opens close to that then should be up nicely.

Get above yesterday high of 266.83 with any momentum and they should be double+

It could but I 'think' in the $17-$17.50 is more likely. It'll need some fresh money to move it there and hold it IMO.

Check this out....

MT from the low right before the pump to its high is about $17.69. Resistance back when is about $17. And you see the chatter over 3 days around that spot.

Just my guess and how I got there.

SPY Calls

If you took the SPY calls at the close yesterday and the open isn't faded here they should be close to double or more.

My plan anyway....should they be and the gap up isn't faded, I will trim or go net free and leave runners with a trailing stop. Don't care if I miss a little upside. Can always buy them back cheaper most likely on a intraday retracement.

I plan to protect profits and leave a little for the additional upside should this hold or push.

Add to the list scan setups. Different was to build scans to identify possible trades. This all starts with identifying a list of stocks to chart.

I haven't run the numbers, so please know I'm only speaking in generalities and I may mention things you already know, for the sake of others that don't.

When a deal is announced, or considered, analysts and bankers talk in terms of it being accretive (adding overall, value) or dilutive (taking away overall value). Simply put, does 1+1=3 or 1.5?

With more folks moving to streaming, an internet company could try to capture both sides of the home entertainment industry. AT&T tried that with DirecTv but failedand are now selling the latter. Perhaps Comcast feels like it has better prospects since they are an internet provider already and have a "free" box ala Apple TV they give to their internet only customers.

And then there is the unspoken reason why deals are made. Cash out a startup that is a legitimate threat by acquiring them and then put them out to pasture where they can cause no more mischief after taking whatever of value they have.
