yeah I bought after it had broken 368 at 3.15 and didnt scale profits when it broke 370 so I am watching to see what it does

I sold calls on half that would net free me. Then sold moonshot calls for pennies on the other half. If they want my shares for 6x my purchase price, then come get 'em.

RBLX interesting day - gets upgraded to a BUY recommendation last night and has a 5% dip today...

any of yall hit that insane SPX close? I tried buying in twice and missed.
depending on the calls, some people hit anywhere from 12x to 60x returns on those calls.

Unfortunately I wasnt one of them...lol

This is really one of those days I need to erase from memory. Such an easy play, buy anything and you'll win.

I got cute and didn't win. That parabola on both ES and NQ are just unreal to me right now. Didn't see it coming standing right next to it..

I rode SPY 424C up and bought 425P at the close.

SPY volume slightly lower than last Friday but interestingly lowest volume since 2/9.

im with ya. I bought all the wrong things and didnt scale on the ones that were winners early in the day and ended up where i started, holding a bunch of calls into tomorrow that are unreliable as hell this week

I have got to get better at the "knowing when to sell" portion and actually pulling the trigger.

Just something I did to get a feel.

This being on short term such as weekly options. If on the way up I scale (trim) a little from 30% on. Maybe 30, 50, 70, etc. and keep some managed runners from there. Yes you may leave money on the table but it helps you to 'see' trading and staying with the trend. If the trade begins to go against you or has some momentum pull back then you've taken some profit and risk off the table.

Jeez i wish i knew what i did wrong to miss that close but i have no idea.
Bought expiring 424c all day long starting at .33 all the way down to .11 until I had twice as much sunk as i normally do in this game. At the start of the run i sold 2/3 at .25, then at 2:50 sold the rest at .35 (that big red wick was a serious fake out) . You know the rest. Never seen such flat tape for almost the whole day

I asked this question last week (and it kind of got buried) but with a macro sell off potentially looming, how do you think this impacts the energy sector? I'm so split! Part of me thinks there are major gains yet to be had and part of me fears that the macro correction will erase the gains I'm already sitting on.

Perhaps the answer is to book profits on 50% of holdings, sell CC on the rest.

I know I'll get crucified here for putting too many eggs in one basket, but 20% of my portfolio is in Energy Transfer. I'm sitting on 40% gains on shares owned and 120% gains on '23 LEAP calls. Just feels like this company still has a loooonnngggg way to keep running.

As always, I appreciate the advice from you all. I'm clueless.

P.S. As a new trader, the hardest thing for me to do is sell a winner. I gotta learn this art.
