401k - how are "capital gains" calculated?

I don't see the details anywhere on Fidelity. Do they just wait to calculate it when you are retired and take it out at the time of distribution?

Feels like shes gonna run. Needs 368 to go. 375, 383 next stops if so I think. I will trim at 375 should it get there.
