I don't enter trades I'm not confident to begin with that I believe I can make a buck. Some with more or less but still within position sizing based on risk/reward. I'm human and make mistakes.

Learned the hard way the markets, unexpected volatility, some fed statement, political issue, news release, etc can turn my over confidently sized position against me. IMO putting too much into one trade is a recipe for blowing up an account. Sooner or later.

Many on this thread know all too well what being too heavy in a confident position feels like.

I believe people should follow proper position sizing/risk management.

Posting some moves I'll be watching for this week below. I'll review more Monday evening but here are a few I'm looking at.

EDIT: One other tip. I do all my trading on IBKR. I can't login into the IBKR TWS at work so I use the Think or Swim app to keep up with the charts and HIGHLY ENCOURAGE everyone not able to watch charts on the computer to get the app and setup your charts on it. It's been a game changer for me and super easy to monitor on your phone once you get it set up.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend and THANK YOU to all who have served and currently serving.

This was an OA play and it looks to be setup for a continuation move like $X. I sold all of my 6/18 calls but will look for rentry over thursdays highs.

$AMZN

This is setting up for a big move, building up energy right now. Could see a move to $3350 or $3150 depending on direction. Watching for now. If it builds above the 50 SMA I'll target upside and if builds below the 200 SMA I'll target downside.

$HD

Has been holding the 50 SMA nicely. Looking for a move over Fridays high to model T around $326, then above there back to $340 to complete the cup. Looking at 6/18 $325c and maybe 7/16 $340c if macros hold up.

anybody else still in BFLY? They blew away earnings last week but didn't seem to add much of a boost.

there was a ton of flow on this one too. I think it could go 23 to 24 range pretty quick. I cashed out my spreads on it on Friday, but still have equity on it.

Fun long weekend topic for the brains on this board.

You can build an IRA out of only 5 stocks (no ETFs) at locked in percentages of the account.

What 5 stocks are you buying and what % will they make up of your portfolio?

20% KMI
20% QCOM
20% CMI
30% AAPL
10% AABB (or other potential 10 bagger prospect)

I recently sold CMI for a 2 bagger in my IRA account though - probably wouldn't buy it where it's sitting at the moment but would on a 25% dip. And even though I hate the fruit stock, it's record is hard to beat.

I have 2 tickets and a parking pass to the Astros game today that I can't use. Was given them last minute this morning and already busy with family.

Want to offer them to anyone on this forum cause y'all have given me so much advice and help. Don't have premium DMs so reply with your email and you can edit it out afterwards.

Happy Memorial Day!!

I am currently doing this lol.

I own FUBO, WWR, AMZN, CLOV, and SNDL currently. I sell calls on everything but AMZN as I don't have enough shares until they split. I am like 40% FUBO, 20% WWR, and 10% the rest.

Selling calls in an IRA is the best thing you can do. I choose high premium stocks and sell weekly calls except for the ones that are monthly. Positions are flat at this point but call premium has netted me 25% return YTD. About to stop selling calls on FUBO and WWR as I think they are about to fly into the summer then I'll go bet free and chose a new basket.

If you have the funds, then buy 10 shares of TTD and then you'll have 100 shares on 6/17. The premium that you'll be able to collect will be yuge.

I've been following your posts and that's my next target. I need to do that soon actually. Might sell some Fubo to enter TTD. I love the streaming stocks. Everywhere I go people are asking what the best way to cut the cord is. College kids won't ever see cable. They are our future and they will determine the TV market.

I worked for a family office until recently when I left and out last conversation we all agreed streaming, healthcare tech, and battery tech were in the prime growth period the next 10-20 years. They will be around for a long time past that, but to get rich off any industry, the next 10 years will be where you can make life changing wealth...

What is the advantage of this versus buying 100 shares post split?

Simply an anticipation of a post split run up as more investors flock to buy at lower prices?

I did this in my IRA as well. In it for the long term, but do you think there's a chance of a little pullback post split after the anticipation is gone?

Honestly, I don't know because I'm not planning on trading it. After delving into it further, I believe this stock has the potential to create life changing wealth.

TTD is a leader in their industry and institutions love it. It also is still small with a bright future. It only has 47 M shares now and 470 M on 6/17. NVDA has 623 M shares and declared a 4:1 split which will give them 2.5 B post split. AAPL has 16 B share float. I anticipate several more splits in TTD's future. This is the reason I'm so high on TTD. I was in the industry and witnessed when DELL did this and made "Dellionaires" out of secretaries and receptionists. IMO, the risk is worth the potential here. If you're looking short-term, I think you'll double your money by Jan 22.

FWIW I bought 38 shares in my son's college account, he's 5. I also bought 175 shares in my Mom's account, so I have skin in this game.

IMO that's a smart move. Even after the split, the premiums should still be great to write OTM cc on it to generate income for them and lower your cost. 470 M shares is still a relatively small company with plenty of room for growth. Over the next 5-10, I think it will print a trade of $1000 post split or split again a few times. The next split may only be 3:1 or 4:1 but you can see the growth potential.
