POWW looking ripe for a move
sure why not! there was 3 big volume bars on the day, all 3 roughly 1 mil share buys. I don't think they show up in the daily volume, maybe dark pool.Tomas Hermensa said:
Can we officially call the daily WWR candle a green hammer? Our resident expert is in Mexico and I'm not sure who is looking after Gertrude.

you have to buy the legs independently for plays like that.Mr President Elect said:
Do any of you guys ever have any luck getting lotto debit spreads filled on the super cheap? For example earlier today for NIO a June 18 $60/$70 call debit spread had a $0.01 difference in strike price. Not that this is a good investment, but just curious if it is a waste of time to try to get something like that filled.
this isn't a chart thing. earnings are binary and it's difficult to predict what causes a skyrocket or a falling knife.JDTxAg98 said:
So general question, especially for the the advanced chart guys.
Seeing how Dick's ($DKS) crushed earnings and weirdly and logically enough went rocket man. Do we see potential for $ASO to do anything with earnings coming on June 8th?
I was reading where Dick's specifically referenced a return of team sports leagues. Between that and the ammo pouncing as they are getting more available, I know I've dropped some dollars at Academy lately.
They just don't have the national footprint Dick's does.

How can you see volume on the dark pool and why won't it show up in daily volume? I am familiar with the dark pool but not with how the volume flows on that?
I have a free, but useful app on my phone (My Stocks Portfolio). It usuall shows dark pool buys. I looked at WWR's volume for today and it was a small fraction of what those buys totaled.Aggiesincebirth said:BREwmaster said:sure why not! there was 3 big volume bars on the day, all 3 roughly 1 mil share buys. At least in terms of how I have it drawn, ballparking, that's between 426-435 on SPY and 360-380 on Qs depending on how long they travels the length of the wedge.$30,000 Millionaire said:
I tend to think SPY hits the top of the wedge and QQQ takes out ATH or at least tests them before the fall.
I guess around 423 for Spy and 342 on Qs we will get to see continuation or double tops.$30,000 Millionaire said:

My understanding as well. Block buys from earlier in the day at close. Not sure how it all works as they seem to be close to the closing price.Tomas Hermensa said:Aggiesincebirth said:BREwmaster said:sure why not! there was 3 big volume bars on the day, all 3 roughly 1 mil share buys. My understanding is that these usually show up as big 1-minute volume bars at the close or open, usually with little price movement compared to the huge volume.
I could be completely wrong here, so I'd appreciate some of the others confirm or deny that.
I don't know this to be accurate but what I have heard, the sell is booked/transacted at the end of the day which is why large volume candles on final minute. Possibly negotiated blocks of shares transacted at close.Aggiesincebirth said:
I'm just so confused why it won't show up in the volume. I definitely believe you just think it's wild that it won't show up in any of the volume...
