And frankly saying "ok boomer" to someone under 50 not only illustrates and overall disrespectful tone to those that are more experienced in life, but shows a complete lack of historical awareness and frankly makes them just look stupid. Part of the issue our society seems to have is an overall inability to take responsibility for actions.

Like I have lost a **** ton of money in the market this year and frankly that's all on me. I made stupid decisions and I have to accept the consequences and do my best to recover.

Just want to play devil's advocate - how many of you gen x'ers and boomers like to call millenials snowflakes? It goes both ways.
Snowflakes are snowflakes at any age. I know lots of folks in their 20s that have common sense. They are a minority these days though.

I consider the "boomer" moniker a badge of honor. I'm doing OK. I earned it.

  • These are lotto so think scratch off where you may 'win' or not'.

  • If buying more than one contract I scale out in the event it moves in my direction and leave 1 runner with a stop at breakeven.
  • If the trade breaks down technically (not same day entry) I will cut the trade.
  • Manage the trade to your own risk/reward levels.
  • Please don't blindly follow but at least pull up the chart.
  • My opinion is to not be greedy. You might just pay for dinner that weekend.
  • They can be quick and fun but have to leave the emotions in the can.

I have a blast with them and probably because I play small on them. If managed correctly it doesn't take many to have a winning ratio.


Heck yeah, let's get it brother! I think when this pullback is over (tomorrow? thursday?), we will have some fuel for the moon trip.

I agree. This seems too obvious for a big red day tomorrow that I'm not so sure we don't just chop the next two days and then moon next week. That's complete gut feeling and it absolutely could crater, but just saying I wouldn't bet the farm on the downside tomorrow.

I think the other thing I'm stuck on is the last week.

They've done a 180 on the vax and mask situation. Also agreed to resume construction on the wall, and Biden's telling people they have to go back to work and get off the crazy UE benes.

Something's got the administration shook under the surface.

Morning,

All things down but not surprising IMO.

SPY in the 408s
Qs in the 318s
IWM in the 217s
VIX over 23
SKEW at 139.4

Could be a red to green day but seems tests for SPY lower are in store. We went below 404 just a few days ago so a double bottom may or may not be what we want. Below 404, 400 may be a magnet with 398 and 395ish below.

Qs 315 I think is a must hold or 308.60 is in play.

VIX over 23 ....Be flexible, play small or maybe sit on hands but I won't be going long on much without confirmed reversal and none of these fake breakouts.

Yep they sure are. Tried to buy weekly puts on SPY and Qs and missed it by a minute AH piddling around. Would have been glorious. Cash is a position and hedging are rules for a reason.

Materials, energy, etc. may still be the plays so there will be opportunities to trade that's for sure.

I know several do or have tried one or both of these. I am subscribed to both with Elite only since Sunday night. Posting this as a little feedback if you are considering either. I planned to use one but my thoughts may have changed.

I have been impressed with the level of written detail they provide each day. Elite has weekly conference calls and recordings as well. IMO these are not services that you just subscribe to in order to get an alert from and buy. Yes there are actionable alerts on private Twitter feeds, discords, slack, etc. but the real value is in the detail of setups, levels, targets, etc. they provide across dozens of stocks every day including Sunday evening. You may or may not enter at the same price they do but you can if you are watching what they provide.

It may be best to think of these two almost like hiring an employee. You are hiring them to provide you solid information for you to read, edit charts with/validate, evaluate, set targets/alerts (up and down), etc.in addition to your own fishing. Especially good when there is overlap between them. Then you are then responsible to manage the 'business'.

So far, however early in the process for me, they are both helpful, and paying for themselves, to clone your eyes and ears for plays to both the upside and downside.

Prog, on TTD your case is intriguing because I have a wad of cash I'm looking to put to work as a longer term investment. I've been eyeing PINS and OSTK but now looking at TTD.

Are you concerned about the bear flag look that looks like it wants to fail down to around 410?

I'm also pretty heavy in ROKU and FUBO so I'm a bit deep already in streaming...
