You must have missed my 90's video game analogy. In those awesome wrestling video games, everyone wanted to play someone with an explosive move, or some crazy gimmick (macho man, undertaker, stone cold). Those are naked puts and calls. The wrestler that wore skimpy undies and had no crazy move, but was crazy balanced across the board on their stats and would just win matches.....that's the spread. Man, sometimes you listen to an experienced pro and get the clear, easy perspective you forget to think about.
I'm doing SimplerTrading.com's futures room for a week for $7 and Raghee Horner just made an incredibly easy point that many of us forget. GO TO WHERE YOU MAKE MONEY, go find the uptrends if you're an uptrend trader. Go to the DOW (not the nasdaq right now), go to the currencies (FXC, FXE, etc, not NFLX), go to the long grains (corn, etc, NOT TECH)........go find the trends and ride them. Industrials, transports, etc, go find the uptrends and use them when they're hot. Stop fishing for stuff in the hotties (TSLA, APPL, etc), avoid the broken charts and just go find the trends and ride them when they're working. Make the money.

This is the Redler approach. Buy stocks above the 8/21 day, trim on the upticks and get out if they fall below 8/21.
Big focus for me this week will be HEAR.....I know a name that may cause some eye rolls around these parts, after going from teens to $4 and now back to close to 30.....like the chart and rumors of buyout on the horizon -- the company has reportedly hired bankers to navigate them through several offers they have received. I'd like to ride it to $35 and then keep some on for potential buyout in $40s
Also looking at CMCO from an OptionsHawk call out....nice chart and the volume doesn't lie on this one. Apparently went through debt refinancing recently but haven't done a lot of DD. Just a trade candidate for this week.

I followed it with you. I only went with 100 shares that I could sell the CC on. I got in at $2.85 and immediately sold a 6/18 $4.5 CC at an $85 premium so really I'm in at $2/share cost for now as net entry. This has been nice so far.BREwmaster said:

WSB is all over this one. Saying the stock is undervalued and heavily shorted with such a small float pool. The CEO owns a majority of the shares and you have some institutional ownership like vanguard and what not who wouldn't sell. And then a lot of expensive short borrowing leads them to believe there is a heavy short position.AG 2000' said:

I believe they issued preferred shares last week. That should be the reason for tanking.
