Despite the breach of the Chinese Wall between Treasury and the Fed, Tom Porcelli, RBC Capital Markets' chief U.S. economist, praised Yellen's "sage words." In a client note, he asked if her observation is really surprising given the economy's growing strength.

Looks like a long term hold. Short term? Not so much.Jet Black said:
Any thought on NIO? I would think their strong numbers eventually equate to positive movement.
OK - teaching moment. Look at the chart and tell me what you see and if it looks like a high probability setup to you.RenoAg said:$30,000 Millionaire said:

Daily Chart
I'd like to see it reclaim the 34/50 (blue cloud) on the daily for a longer term purchase.
Hourly Chart
Really bearish look on the hourly, it's been repeatedly rejected on the 34/50 cloud.
I don't think it's done going down.
I sadly don't use TOS desktop very much. I'm trading on it via mobile while using tradingview on my chromebook.AG 2000' said:Can someone translate this chart setup to TOS please?irish pete ag06 said:I wanna take a hack...$30,000 Millionaire said:OK - teaching moment. I've played around with the Ripster EMA clouds but can't get it to look like this. Sure I'm missing something, hoping someone can help out.
I promise to pay it forward with dope stock picks or bourbon. or both.
What do you have on with the clouds? Do you have two or three?irish pete ag06 said:I sadly don't use TOS desktop very much. irish pete ag06 is running away with ROY so far. I'm massively impressed with his dedication and discipline and how fast he has picked up TA. He will be paired off with last year's winner, Ronald McFly Maclaurin, in the HR derby during this year's all-star break.
One thing to keep in mind is you will only be able to use settled cash from trades. So assume 2 days (usually less).irish pete ag06 said:Holy cow I had no idea that was the case. Agree. Trying to help provide safe basic parameters not set someone up for a free riding violation or inability to exit a trade gone bad. If scalping, as referenced, you can get yourself into same security free ride pretty quick if not careful.deadbq03 said:
That's not entirely accurate.
You can buy with unsettled cash; you just can't sell until the cash has settled. Options settle next day. Equity takes a couple days.
If your cash is settled, then you can buy and sell on the same day (but then once sold becomes unsettled).
I learned how to actively trade in my IRA under cash settlement rules. There's plenty you can do, you just have to pay a little attention, and if buying with unsettled cash be willing to hold a little longer than you might be accustomed to if you day trade.
