Those of you with way more experience - thoughts on MVIS?

Them moving up earnings a month to next week seems to point to news. And the market is obviously reacting to that.

Could this be headed to a merger? The big move for earnings call stands out for sure.

I'm tempted to take some profits today but part of me says to see how the next week plays out.

Quick question for this in super long term accounts or IRAs? Do you use stops in here on stocks you want to own long term?

The idea being to set a stop at a technical level and if it stops out, waiting for what looks like a bottom to get back in?

I have the time so I do. I trade the daily technical levels. 8 & 21 as well as support/resistance being my main alerts.

IMO since I have the time to make adjustments I preserve the upside in a tax deferred or tax free account.

Right. I have been evaluating the hell out of every stock I've owned and purchased over the last 4 months. And in my IRA I was getting punched in the face with how many times I could just simply "sold the rip" and "bought the dip" on stocks I've held the whole time. I have sold a lot of covered calls on these stocks I'm holding to help with "selling the rip" some.

I went back and used Ripster's EMA clouds and man those things are such a simple and great way to help you make buy or sell decisions. Gonna start using them to take profits when it rips, re-enter when it dips, and set stop losses.

SPY scalpers....

For me anyway, should this push above 416, I will sell all calls 416.40-416.80 range. I 'think' I may be able to buy them back cheaper later.

Edit: Sold all at the pause at 416.32. My own rule anyway is 5th ping on the 1 min scalping and top of BBs, doesn't push through with volume declining, I am out. Sometimes I leave a little on the table but take the 60% scalp and sit on hands until next level confirmation.

Those who scalp SPXS when expecting a slight dip, in your experience, does it work nearly perfectly inverse of SPX? If SPX loses 5%, is SPXS gaining 5%? 2.5%? Is it not that directly correlated?
