While many sound like they need to reset their portfolios, this is not the week to be dumping some of these stocks IMO.

Many of the ones being discussed are at low ranges anyway. If you are way down on them and they are already at long term lower support levels, next week or the weeks after are probably better.

Thanks for everyone's input.

This was my initial thought as I don't want to Buy High Sell Low.

I know it is all subjective, but how does everyone determine the "acceptable" loss on some of these when you don't think you will get back to your breakeven price for a long period of time.

Just curious if folks bought SNDL in the low $0.90s, then sold then on the pivot at $1.09? 15-20% swing in a basically a day.

Now you buy back at $0.93 again....if you wanted to that is.

So I am pretty excited about my trade. Just got out of all my UBER calls for a 145% gain.

I started trading options about a year ago because of this thread and was as green as they come. I basically followed along with OA and studied why and when he entered a particular option. Also learned a lot from OA's seminars and others on this thread.

Studied the UBER chart and thought it looked good for a move up so I rolled the dice and bought 30 contracts. I am still a rookie and I am sure I will screw up in the future but I am starting to gain confidence and pick some trades on my own thanks to OA and a lot of folks on this thread!

I have a dividend question -

Do you still have to have ownership of the stock on the day divided is paid, or just on ex-div date?

i.e., if it's past the ex-div date, but not yet to payment date, are you good to sell?

I'm glad you know I was kidding. I always hesitate with jokes like that because some could take it seriously.

I currently have a chunk in apple inside my old 401 but I don't think you could go wrong either way.

Well I wouldn't say it's that easy. I bought the calls Friday morning and sold them this afternoon. I didn't think they would pay that quick but they did. Options are very volatile and it's not uncommon to have 50% swings in a day.

Started a refueling outage this past weekend so I'm just waiting to close out my $UPWK trade then I'm done for a couple of months. I still think this is a good looking setup. Tomorrow could be exit day. It's tested the 50SMA four of the last five sessions. Something's gotta give.
